Summary:
Zoro warned Luffy that they had little time and that the East Port would be their meeting place as Luffy left, though Bartolomeo said he was pointing in the wrong direction.
In the present day at the Marine camp, Bastille is talking to her troops about the escaped pirates and decides to call in the eastern unit. However, the squad was defeated by the gladiators from the Coliseum, with Abdullah and Jeet trying to impersonate the marines. They try to trick the Bastille into not sending reinforcements, but they fail. Bastille sends his men towards the East Port, but Cavendish, Sai, Baby 5, Hajrudin, Blue Gilly and Suleiman back up the running Straw Hats, Bartolomeo, Law and Bellamy go to stop the marines. The Marines report to the Bastille that all the criminals hiding in the palace have come to the eastern city.
Meanwhile, Luffy yells at the royal palace and tells Rebecca to show herself. Luffy’s scream causes the marines to notice him and chase him, and Rebecca hears his call and shows up despite being told by her servants not to associate with pirates. Meanwhile, Riku Doldo III asks Tanko Lepanto to call Viola and Rebecca. The three of them went to town to tell the people that the Riku family would become royalty again, and Tank was happy to grant his request. Luffy jumps to Rebecca’s window and scares her attendant. Rebecca wants to thank Luffy, but he interrupts her, asking if she’s okay with Kyros leaving her forever. Rebecca remembers when Kyros, then a Thunder Soldier, gave her the letter and how she acted shocked and confused because she didn’t know who it was. Rebecca asks Luffy if he thinks Kyros thinks of her as a burden, but he says he doesn’t know and just wanted to ask Rebecca if she’s okay with it. Rebecca reveals that she was never okay with this and prepares to go with Luffy. The attendants and guards get up to stop her and Viola tells Rebecca and Luffy to wait. However, Rebecca asks Viola for a favor and Viola is shocked to hear this.
Rebecca holds on to Luffy as they jump out of the hole Luffy made in the palace while a guard tells Rik that Rebecca was kidnapped by a pirate. Shocked, Riku shakes it and asks which pirate did it, and the guard tells him that Luffy did it. Panic sets in throughout the city and people believe that Luffy is an evil pirate who has kidnapped the princess for ransom. Gatz is surprised but still refuses to hate Luffy. Vice Admiral Maynard says that’s what happened when you harbor pirates and tells his men to chase after Luffy and rescue Rebecca. The snipers try to shoot him, but they fall to the ground. After hearing about this, Bastille asks if Haoshoku Haki was used, but it wasn’t since the soldiers are still conscious. Bastille then orders all Marine units to go east to Carta. As Luffy and Rebecca race across the rooftops, he tells her that he’ll leave her on the back side of the hill while he leads the troops away, noting that she’ll be alone after that and reminding her that if he catches her, he’ll be taken back to the palace. Rebecca then thanks him. The citizens of Dressrosa take up arms to stop Luffy and rescue Rebecca, feeling betrayed and vowing never to trust pirates again.
At his house, Kyros thinks about what Scarlett would say as she packs her things when he says he left Rebecca so she could be happy as a member of the royal family. He leaves but is stopped at the door by a crying Rebecca. Rebecca tells him to stop lying and Kyros reminds her that he is a murderer. She claims that she doesn’t care about her royal status because her family and happiness are much more important. Proudly claiming to be the child of Cyrus and no one else, she wants to fulfill her promise. Rebecca hugs Kyros, who also breaks down in tears, asking her if she’s really sure about this, but Rebecca has made up her mind and asks him to live together.
Back at the palace, Viola informs her father that Rebecca is leaving, and Viola remembers Rebecca’s request: to become princess in her place. Riku responds by laughing and remarking that Rebecca is a lot like Scarlett.
The Straw Hats reach the eastern harbor and walk up the stairs towards the coast. As Luffy runs towards the port, Bartolomeo sees Fujitora coming for them.
