Summary:
The battle begins when all four competitors and Diamante enter the ring. Gatz reminds viewers of the premium Logia Devil Fruit waiting for the winner. Although Lucy mentally marks Burgess as a member of the Blackbeard Pirates, Rebecca in turn marks Lucy and says that he is not the same man. However, the group is interrupted when three gladiators rush at Rebecca, refusing to be beaten by her and unable to accept such an outcome. Diamante enters, telling the gladiators that “results are results” and holding his cloak in front of his body. The gladiators charge at him, but only injure themselves and break their swords. Diamante announces that it is the result of his Devil Fruit, Hira Hira no Mi. He reveals that his cape is actually made of steel, it just flutters like a cape thanks to his powers. As a result, he “flutters” his sword into the shape of a bull and easily defeats the gladiators.
Diamante also informs them that the new fighting fish are “fit” for such an occasion and are sensitive to the smell of blood. The fighting fish actually pounces on part of the bridge, taking the gladiators with it. Gatz informs the audience that they will get to the contestants inside the ring and are more lethal because they are “fighting fish of the boss class of each school”. He also reveals that one fish is carrying a chest with a Mera Mera no Mi inside. Diamante makes this grand announcement where the winner is the last man standing and the one who gets the devil fruit from that particular fish. A gong will sound, signaling the start of a five-man battle royale.
At the royal palace, Viola tells the others that the door leads to the walls and that there is a secret entrance to get through. He also says that they wouldn’t stand a chance of taking down Doflamingo if the top brass were involved, especially Pica. However, Kin’emon discovers that Luffy is missing, but not for long when Luffy attacks the door of the Gigant Pistol Palace. Luffy announces that the door is open, to which Viola tells the others to rush through the door as it’s the fastest way in. One of the guards recognizes Luffy and informs Doflamingo about the apparent discrepancy. Doflamingo listens as he watches Lucy dodge the fighting fish on the screen. Child 5 tries to confirm the identity of the intruders, but the guard gives the same answer: Straw Hat Luffy, Zoro, and Viola are the intruders. At this, Doflamingo becomes extremely enraged and asks who is running around the Coliseum as Lucy.
In the elevator, Thunder Soldier is slammed into a wall by Lao G. Kabu tries to come to his captain’s aid, but is easily defeated by Lao G after he puts on his glasses to see his diminutive attacker. As the dwarves express their shock at the presence of an executive officer in the elevator, Lao G gives a confusing explanation of how he got there because he was “messed up”. He reaffirms his stance that he is protecting the Toy House and refuses to let them inside. However, Thunder Soldier suggests otherwise.
As Luffy, Zoro, and Viola progress through the castle, they notice that no guards are following them. At this moment, a face begins to form from the walls of the castle, which grows in size until a full body is formed. Viola curses because this stone monster is Pica of the Spade.
