Summary:
As everyone tries to recover from Luffy’s massive Haki blast, Whitebeard’s allies and marines alike stand in awe of his power. Vice Admiral Doberman warns the Marines that Luffy must be defeated or he will become a terrifying force in the future. When Ivankov asks Luffy how he obtained such a level of Haki power, Luffy replies that he has no idea what Ivankov is talking about. Ivankov leaves Luffy alone, but understands that even if Luffy doesn’t realize it, he is drawn to people because of the will to fight the unknown, just like the Dragon.
The marines gathered around Whitebeard once more, who pushed them away again. He then commands all of his forces to support Luffy. Whitebeard thinks he wants Luffy to show him what will come at the end of the Great Age of Pirates. As he is about to attack Luffy, Whitebeard’s allies jump in and protect him, telling him that he must go ahead while Whitebeard holds off the marines. Ivankov tells Luffy that Whitebeard puts all his trust in him; Luffy replies that he doesn’t care about Whitebeard and that he’s only there to save Ace. Mihawk tries to attack Luffy, but is stopped by Mr. 1, who reacts to Luffy’s shock by only protecting him on Crocodile’s orders. After Mihawk hits Mr. 1, Crocodile steps in and protects his right arm.
Sentomaru yells at Hancock for stopping a large number of Pacifists and asks why he’s doing that when he’s on their side. She responds by exclaiming that “love is always a hurricane” leaving Sentomaru very confused.
Ivankov pleads for help in his hair, and none other than a fully healed Inazuma answers his call. He jumps down from Ivankov’s hair, cutting the ground around him and making a walkway that leads to the execution platform. Luffy thanks Inazuma and runs to Ace. Many marines try to stop Luffy, but are stopped by Whitebeard and his forces. Whitebeard’s allies, as well as Buggy and his crew, watch as Luffy gets closer and closer to Ace; However, Garp jumps through the bridge from below, landing between Luffy and Ace, crushing the ground with his impact. Luffy tells Garp to step aside, but Garp refuses because he is Vice Admiral of Naval Command.
