Summary:
As the members of the Rolling Pirates try to take care of the pirates attacked by Bartholomew Kuma, Lola remarks that it’s cruel because they’ve been fighting for their shadows for years, and once they’re free, another warrior appears to murder them all. As the Rolling Pirates try to challenge Kuma, commenting that he is nothing compared to Gecko Moria and Oars, Zoro yells at them to back off, reminding them that Kuma challenged him first, threatening them not to humiliate him. Kuma remarks to Zoro that they have earned quite a reputation and that Luffy has gathered a number of experienced crew members, the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates show signs of modesty at being complimented by Kuma, only to be told not to flatter Lola. . As Kuma further comments that it’s not just Luffy they’re noticing anymore, Usopp yells at Zoro not to fight because he’s too beat up. As Zoro comments that if he dies here, it will show his manly limits, he attacks Kuma with Nitoryu Iai: Rashoumon, but Kuma teleports behind him and prepares to attack him with his palm.
Zoro noticed something strange on his palm and dodged the attack. Kuma’s paw is shown to leave a paw-shaped mark in the rubble. Kuma fires another paw shaped attack at Zoro who barely dodges. Usopp notices that while Kuma has barely done anything, Zoro is breathing heavily. As the others point out that Kuma has paws on his hands, Zoro attacks him with a Sanjuroku Pound Ho, but it was deflected by Kuma’s paws, making Zoro realize that Kuma has the ability to repel everything.
Kuma explains that he ate the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi and became a trapper. Not taking this seriously and wondering if there are “cute” Devil Fruits in the world, Franky begins to wonder if Kuma isn’t a big threat after all, only for Kuma to attack him with the Pad Ho and ask Franky if this is the limit of his powers. Robin deduces that Kuma can repel air on his own, commenting that normal cannons have no effect on Franky. Kuma then attacks Zoro with Tsuppari Pad Ho, but Zoro manages to dodge them and attacks Kuma with Toro Nagashi, however the attack was blocked by his paws and Zoro fell to the ground. As the Rolling Pirates wonder how Zoro can continue to fight due to his injuries from the oars being enough to kill a normal man, Kuma prepares to attack the fallen Zoro, only for Sanji to attack Kuma’s face with a Concassé.
Sanji’s attack didn’t seem to phase Kuma as he falls to the ground holding his leg in pain. Sanji begins to wonder if Kuma’s body is made of steel. In a panic, Usopp attacks Kuma with his Fire Bird Star. Kuma also fends off this attack effortlessly, identifying Usopp as the “Sniper King” and Sanji as the “Blackfoot”. Commenting that due to the Straw Hats’ weakness, he thinks defeating them is no fun at all, Kuma prepares a large-scale attack. As Robin and Nami point out that compressing a large amount of air into a small state can cause a devastating explosion, Kuma announces that he will spare everyone’s lives in exchange for Luffy’s head. Usopp asks Kuma if he expects them to sell their friend, while Kuma asks them what their decision is, like if the world government got Luffy’s head, they wouldn’t complain that the others were spared.
The Straw Hat Pirates, along with Lola and the Rolling Pirates, bravely yell at Kumo that they will refuse, telling him to “forget it.” As Kuma expresses his disappointment at their decision and tells them it’s a shame, Kuma uses Ursus Shock and causes a huge explosion.
