As Robin runs away, another archaeologist claims that Robin is following the path of her mother, Olvia. She was captured the other day, her fate has already been decided.
Robin finds the giant on Ohara Beach. The giant wakes up and asks for water. Saul is then introduced. Saul asks if there is a city on the island, when Robin says yes, he says he wished he landed on a deserted island. Saul says he hurt his leg and could just sit there for a while and eventually build a raft so he can leave. He asks her if this is the first time she’s seen a giant and she says “yes”, he reassures her that she’s not like the barbaric giants of Elbaf and that there are gentler giant races.
He then asks her not to tell anyone about him. When he answers too quickly, she says that a child can’t carry that much responsibility, but Robin claims that she’s not interested in him anyway. Saul suddenly bursts out with “Dereshishishi”, which he later explains is his laugh. He introduces himself as Jaguar D. Saul. Robin asks him what the letter D stands for, but he just states that those in his family carry it and that he doesn’t know much about the name.
On the fourth night after Saul sails in, a figure is seen landing on Ohara. Roja calls Robin, angry that he’s not here and that they’re missing some of the bread and jam. After eating a few bits of food that Robin nibbled from her aunt’s house, Saul gives Robin the rest, saying that he ate last night anyway. Robin talks to him about the situation she’s in, she only has a mother who isn’t there for her and no friends. She then shows Saul her powers, Saul states that she is a Devil Fruit user and he has seen many of them in the Great Line, in fact he is quite jealous of her powers. He encourages her to always be happy and laugh.
Elsewhere in West Blue, CP9 under Spandine receives a call from Marine HQ. Spandine tells them to ignore them as they just want a status report, angry that he was sent all the way to West Blue.
