Summary:
The Straw Hat Pirates travel along a series of river-shaped clouds and reach the entrance to the Sky Island “Godland Skypiea”. They fly to the Sky Island driven by the river and gaze in awe at the sea-shaped buildings and clouds. The crew arrives at the beach and Luffy, Usopp and Chopper jump off the ship and run as fast as they can to the beach to explore the area.
Zoro asks about dropping the anchor, where he comments that it wouldn’t be possible since the sea is bottomless, but Luffy doesn’t really care, so Zoro drops it anyway. Sanji gets caught up in the fun and heads to the beach. Then Nami is attacked by the southern bird they forgot to release and leaves. Zoro understands that the beach is the structural foundation of the island. Robin says she didn’t think the landing would be so adventurous, while Nami notices that the name of the island is the same as the map Luffy found.
Luffy is really excited that the island is full of adventure. Nami thinks she can relax for a while without getting in trouble with the marines while Sanji examines the island’s flowers. Luffy sees a strange pumpkin-like fruit and tries to bite into it, but it is too hard and offers the fruit to Usopp, while Zoro, now out of the ship, questions if they are really clouds as his feet are wet. Sanji offers Nami a flower while she ignores him and looks at the couches from the clouds with Chopper. Then music starts playing and a small fox appears which Zoro comments upon seeing and Sanji points to a person on a hill far behind. Usopp comments that it could be a raider, but Sanji shouts that it’s an angel because of the wings and the harp. The “Angel”, who is a beautiful woman, turns to them, salutes and approaches them.
She asks them if they are from the Blue Seas, to which Luffy informs her that they came from below. He then informs them that this place is known as Angel Beach on the island of Skypiea and asks Luffy if he would like to drink from the fruit called Conache that he tried to bite into earlier. He cuts open the fruit Luffy is drinking from and comments on how good it tasted. Upon opening the fruit, she introduces herself as Conis, the box also informs the reader that the fox seen earlier is named Su and says that she can help them if they have any problems. Nami tells her that there are many things she wants to know about the island and comments on how incredible it all is.
Then the Straw Hats notice a man coming from the sea. Conis says he is her father on horseback. He crash lands and asks if anyone is hurt, to which Zoro remarks that he should be asking himself that question. The Waver explains to Nami from Noland’s journal that it is a ship that can sail without wind. After asking her daughter Conis if the Straw Hats are her friends, she informs him that they are from the Blue Seas. He then tells the crew that they are in the White-White Sea and introduces himself as Pagaya. Pagaya tells the Straw Hats that he just finished fishing in the White White Sea and shows them Sky Lobsters, the delicious seafood in the White Sea. The Straw Hats are invited to his home while Nami questions the reason why Waver is sailing without wind. Conis says it’s because of the dials and asks Nami if she knows what a dial is.
