Summary:
Raizo gets the keys to Kawamatsu’s cell as well as his sword. The ninja later gives them to him and Kawamatsu breaks free. After reuniting, Raizo, Kawamatsu, and Kikunojo teamed up with Luffy and Hyogoro to fight the Beasts Pirates. However, the Beasts Pirates continue to infect the prisoners with Excite Bullets.
Raizo sneaks through the executive tower looking for Kawamatsu’s sword and the keys to his cuffs. He finds them, but is caught by Solitaire, whose SMILE spider fruit allows her to use six swords. However, Raizo uses his Jujutsu to create shadow forms of himself. Solitaire defeated the clones and allowed the real Raizo to escape.
In his cell, Kawamatsu defeats the guards who try to kill him by spitting fish bones. Just then, Raizo jumps out of the tower window and hands him the key and the sword. He unlocks his handcuffs and uses his unique sword fighting style, the Kappa Style. The prisoners immediately recognize them as the Nine Red Sheaths and are shocked to see that they are still alive after twenty years.
Babanuki orders his men to attack them, but they are easily defeated. They then start shooting Excite Bullets at the prisoners, infecting many of them.
Zoro and Hiyori walk through a leafy forest but are followed by a mysterious flute player. Suddenly, a man fires a blowgun at them. Zoro detects and hits the arrow with his sword, then defeats the attacker. He believes he is Fukuroku’s killer.
The Queen’s ship takes Big Mom to Onigashima. Despite being sedated, Big Mom wakes up briefly and asks for red bean soup, then goes back to sleep.
Back on Udon, Kid tries to get out of the handcuffs. Raizo throws them the keys, but Kid, who only has one arm, asks Killer to help him unlock the handcuffs. However, Killer just lies on the floor and laughs.
The anime adds the following:
Raizo found Kawamatsu’s sword.
Raizo fights Solitaire.
Zoro and Hiyori ambushed by a masked ninja.
Big Mom wakes up briefly during the transport to Onigashima.
Kid asks Killer to help remove their shackles.
Solitaire’s fighting abilities are shown while not seen in the manga.
In the manga, the prisoners immediately released Luffy when Kiku threatened them. In the anime, they don’t move until Hyogoro reveals himself.
