One Piece Episode 886

Summary:

After seeing the Empty Throne, Sterry longs to sit on it.

Meanwhile, Charlos tries to take Shirahoshi by force with CP0 protecting him. Neptune prepares to attack Charlos until Donquijote Mjosgard intervenes and knocks Charlos out.

The episode begins with Neptune’s family arriving in Mariejois at the request of the late Queen Otohime.

The next scene shows King Sterry of the Kingdom of Goa arriving at Pangea Castle. He was enchanted by the magnificence of the Empty Throne and wished to sit on it, but his efforts were thwarted by a priest who explained the throne’s meaning. This does not stop Sterry’s desire to take the throne.

In the next scene, Shirahoshi was captured by the slave orders of world noble Charlos. Fukaboshi tried to intervene, but was stopped by King Neptune, who deems it too risky to face the actions of the World Nobles. Vivi decides to intervene but is held back by the others. Rebecca does the same, but is also held back by Sai, who tells her it’s too risky to attack a world noble. Charlos’ slave smashed Shirahoshi to the ground in an attempt to subdue her, only to give the audience even more horror. After subduing Shirahoshi, Charlos announced that he would make Shirahoshi his pet. Leo rushes to save Shirahoshi while Sai tries to stop him. Even though all his efforts were lost, he decided to join Leo in the attack, only to be stopped by Rob Lucci. Lucci and Kaku tell the two and countless nations have been saved from the wrath of the World Nobles thanks to their efforts.

In another scene, Wapol was seen praising the world government while insulting all pirates in existence. A flashback of the Straw Hats fighting in Enies Lobby to save Robin was played.

Rob Lucci starts talking about how the world nobles are sacred like gods due to their influence over the world and thus have more rights. He adds that if god wants something, man must give it to him. Vivi protests that it’s not fair and doesn’t make sense, only to be told that not everything has to make sense. Vivi later goes to catch Lucci. This move inspired Neptune to attack the world nobles. Vivi runs and protects Charlos, knowing the consequences of attacking the world nobles. Apologizing for Otohime’s words, Neptune decides to provoke a war with the humans. Suddenly, Mjosgard appears and hits Charlos with a spiked club. Mjosgard announces to everyone that he is ashamed of the actions of his fellow nobles and asks for forgiveness. Wapol asks if Mjosgard is a world noble. Mjosgard tells Charlos’ slave to leave Shirahoshi alone. He kneels down to Neptune and tells him about how he was indebted to the Ryugu Kingdom. He tells the story of when he was imprisoned in Ryugu Kingdom. When he provoked the Fishmen to take him back to Mariejois, the Fishmen fired at him to shoot him. Otohime rushed and blocked the bullets from hitting him. Otohime tells the fishmen to drop their weapons. The fish men question her actions, but she explains that while she knows their grudges against humans, grudges against humans do no good. Otohime wishes to establish better relationships with people. After telling the story, Mjosgard says that this action made him choose to be a decent person and was willing to protect anyone in danger. He tells Luca, Kaku, Stussy, and the rest of the Cipher Pol staff to leave. Mjosgard tells Neptune that he is admired when he meets him.
The anime adds the following:
Neptune wishes he could bring Otohime to Mary Geoise.
More scenes of Neptune seething with rage as he watches Shirahoshi threaten.
Mjosgard orders CP0 to leave.
In the manga, Mansherry rushed to Leo’s side after Lucci threw him to the ground. In the anime, it’s Kabu instead.
In the manga, Charlos noticed Mjosgard before the latter punched him in the face. However, this is not shown in the anime.
This episode recaps CP9 and the Straw Hats’ declaration of war on the World Government in Enies Lobby, and also recaps some of the Fish-Man Island Arc’s past events.
In the manga, the staff Mjosgard used on Charlos had sharp points. In the anime, they became flat, round spikes.
