Summary:
Thanks to Pedro’s explosion, Chopper, Brook and Thousand Sunny are freed from the candy trap. Carrot furiously attacks Katakuri, only to be overpowered. Luffy confronts Sweet Commander and manages to capture him.
While Big Mom and the Tarteships attack Sunny, the Straw Hats manage to escape the Coup de Burst. Meanwhile, Luffy dragged Katakuri to the Mirror World to fight him.
Pedro’s massive sacrificial blast engulfs the entire surrounding area, knocking down Big Mom and freeing Thousand Sunny, Chopper, and Brook from their candy traps. A distraught Carrot tries to go to the site of the explosion in a desperate attempt to find out if Pedro survived, but Nami stops her, saying that Pedro gave his life to give them a chance to escape. Luffy prepares for the crew to activate the Coup de Burst, but Katakuri still remains on the ship. He asks why everyone is so fired up, and Carrot activates Electro as she jumps at him in anger. As he attacks, he remembers his swordsmanship training with Shishilian on Zou. Shishilian was constantly overpowering her when Pedro came in and offered to train Carrot with a weapon that would suit her better. He gave her a paw-shaped glove to wear on her hand and trained her to much greater success. Later, they sat atop the Whale Tree and Carrot thanked Pedro for helping her become stronger than she could have ever imagined. He told her to always be ready because everyone has a turn in life to act and so it was her turn. However, in the present, Katakuri manages to dodge all of Carrot’s punches before pinning her to the ground with her leg, and Carrot sheds a tear at not following Pedro’s instructions.
Luffy then engages in a fight with Katakuri, and after Katakuri dodges his first wave of punches, Luffy attacks with the Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun. Katakuri blocks the giant strike with a wall of mochi, but Luffy then releases his fist and wraps his fingers around Katakuri’s body, trapping him. While Nami gets wheel energy for Coup de Burst, Chopper and Brook go to strap the Shark Submerge III to Sunny. However, they see Big Mom heading towards the ship, unscathed by the explosion, and go berserk to tie the Submersible in place. Amande’s fleet of Tartes fires a round of cannonballs at Sunny, but misses after completing the Coup de Burst preparation. However, just before activating, Big Mom grabs Sunny’s stern and tilts the ship backwards, causing one of the cola barrels to fall out of Sunny’s engine.
After realizing what happened, Nami prepares to restore the engine while Chopper and Brook intercept more rounds of cannonballs fired by Amanda’s fleet. Jinbe wants to join them, but Nami tells him to grab the helm while she goes below deck and gives him a tone dial from Franky to tell him how to activate the Coup de Burst. Meanwhile, to Katakuri’s dismay, Brûlée appears in the mirror behind Luffy to try to help, and Luffy then uses his other arm to grab her. When Big Mom starts biting Sunny, the Straw Hats are shocked to see that Perospero is alive. Perospero emerges from the smoke with his right arm missing and curses Pedro for destroying his sugar armor. Nami hurries to the hold where she reloads the cola keg that was knocked out of place. Grabbing Katakuri with one arm and Brûlée with the other, Luffy tells his crew that he will leave the rest to them and come back to them later. Following Franky’s instructions, Jinbe waits for the cola’s energy to build up, and when it’s done, he pulls the lever to activate the Coup de Burst. The explosion hits Big Mom at point-blank range, and Sunny is sent flying over Amanda’s fleet and far into the distance. However, as they are in the air, the Straw Hats look and see no sign of Luffy or Katakuri. Luffy drags himself and Katakuri through Sunny’s mirror into the mirror world, and Luffy breaks the mirror that leads there as he faces Katakuri. Katakuri says that Luffy is no match for him and will die here, but Luffy confirms that he will defeat Sweet Commander and return to Sunny.
