Summary:
With their backs against the wall, the straw pirates are forced to take King Neptune and his men hostage. On the other side of the palace, Luffy and the Mermaid Princess plan to visit the Sea Forest!
The episode begins with the guards around Zoro and the others preparing to burst the air bubble, but Nami finds some bubble coral and has the entire room filled with air, and Zoro prepares to fight Neptune. Shirahoshi is still unsure if she should leave her tower and Luffy says again that he doesn’t like her, making her cry even more. Camie and Pappag are shocked that the crew tied up the guards and took Neptune hostage, even though Usopp and Brook said they would look tough and run.
The Minister of the Right declares that when the princes return, the garrison will be complete, and the Minister of the Left declares that the position Nami is in is not good for the New World. When Fukaboshi arrives at the palace entrance, Zoro picks up Den Den Mushi and bargains with him to leave the island with his crew and all the hostages free and unharmed. Fukaboshi and Zoro agree with each other and Fukaboshi decides to reveal Jinbe’s message to Zoro: “Don’t fight Hody and I will wait in the Sea Forest.” All the islanders hear about the situation and consider the Straw Hats criminals and plan to arrest them.
At Shyarly’s, the guards try to fight Chopper, but his new Kung Fu Point is more than a match for them and he refuses to be taken down by them and let them take Sanji away.
Back at the palace, Shirahoshi tells Luffy that she wishes to go to the Sea Forest, and Luffy agrees to take her only if she doesn’t act like a crybaby. Vander Decken IX throws more objects at her tower and prompts Neptune to allow the Straw Hats to go check on her for her safety. Brook decides to go with the Minister of the Right, and the two notice that Decken has cast human pirates as an invasion of the palace. As the pirates struggle to get up, Luffy leaves the tower with Shirahoshi, shoving Shirahoshi into Megalo’s mouth to hide her and preparing to go to the Sea Forest.
The anime shows Nami draining the water from the palace hall using a giant bubble coral.
This is the second time Luffy says “I don’t like you” to Shirahoshi, while in the manga Luffy only said the phrase to her once.
This is the first time there has been a change in banners after the two-year time skip. Instead of Luffy grabbing his hat, the intermission shows two new teasers – Zoro grabbing his sword and Chopper grabbing his backpack.
