Summary:
The Straw Hat Pirates meet up with Hammond, some sea beasts, and other fish-men from the New Fish-Man Pirates. Franky launches a Coup de Burst towards Fish-Man Island to escape the pirates. Unfortunately, the Straw Hats become separated from Sunny and each other. Luffy wakes up after a while to be reunited with Camie, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper. They leave Camie’s house and go to the upper level of the island where they meet other mermaids. Meanwhile, Hammond informs his leader about the Straw Hats entering Fish-Man Island.
The Straw Hats encounter mysterious fish men riding one of the sea beasts. One of the fishmen, Hammond, insults Surume for carrying the crew or “those sinful people”. Surume freaks out and abandons the Thousand Sunny and its crew. After Surume leaves, Hammond addresses the crew and their accomplishments (namely defeating Arlong, defending Hachi, and punching a World Noble). He then offers the crew a choice: either join the New Fish-Man Pirates or die. Luffy immediately reacts by saying no and smirking at Hammond. During all this, Nami tells Franky to use the full power of the Coup de Burst. Using the explosion’s acceleration, they rocket towards Fish-Man Island and escape their enemies.
Everyone immediately prepares the ship and then Franky launches a Coup de Burst, sending Sunny straight to Fish-Man Island. The crew gets through two bubbles, unfortunately the second bubble contains water. Strong currents from the second bubble separate the Straw Hats and Sunny. Much later, Luffy wakes up in the company of Sanji, Usopp, Chopper, and a group of little mermaids. The gang rejoices that Luffy has woken up and they chat until they meet Camie. Luffy and the others (but mostly Sanji) are excited to meet Camie after two long years.
Camie explains how she was supposed to meet them, but by then she thought it was a month later. Either way, Camie is happy to see everyone and gives everyone soup. Camie then freaks out when she realizes she was trying to warm everyone up with cold soup, she and Usopp get into a weird shocked face while everyone else eats the soup. After talking for a while, the Medaka Mermaid quintuplets come and return their clothes to the group, all dried. Camie introduces the five and tells the group that they are in the girls’ dorms in Mermaid’s Cove, which infuriates Sanji. Finally, the group leaves Camie’s apartment and heads to the upper level of the island on a sea turtle.
Luffy asks Camie about Hatchan and Pappag, to which she explains that Hatchan is recuperating in the Fish-Man District and that Pappag is a famous designer living in a high-end mansion. Camie then shows the group bubble paths as they get to the air-filled area of the island. Upon reaching their destination, Usopp and Chopper are amazed that there is air and clouds where they are. A voice calls out to Camie, the voice belongs to Ihilly who is resting with the other mermaids. The group is shocked to see real mermaids, Usopp even remarks that it’s something out of a fairy tale. Sanji then immediately starts crying and excitedly proclaims that he has found his All Blue, even as Usopp remarks, “Do you really want that Sanji?”. Camie then introduces the Straw Hats to the group of mermaids.
One of them walks up to Sanji, grabs his arm and asks why he’s crying. She then asks him to dance underwater with her. Sanji then comments that it might be too good to be true and that he might die on Fish-Man Island that very day, but Usopp notes how negative Sanji is. Elsewhere, Hammond and some other New Fish-Man pirates report to their leader that the Straw Hat Pirates have entered Fish-Man Island. Their boss then tells them to bring the straw hats to him immediately.
