Summary:
Luffy tries to slip past the admirals, but Kizaru easily catches up and knocks him to the ground. The executioners prepare to execute Ace, but Crocodile intervenes, saying he can kill Whitebeard later and doesn’t want the Marines to win. Aokiji attacks Luffy, but Marco knocks him down before he can finish him off. Mr. 3 is hiding in the corridors below Marineford, having managed to escape Aokiji’s freeze. Whitebeard’s pirates rush towards the hole in the wall, prompting the marines to fire cannons at them, but Whitebeard commands the submerged paddle boat to surface and propels it into the square with the pirates on board. When Whitebeard’s forces arrive at the square, Sengoku and Garp prepare to fight them.
Luffy kicks the frozen mast and the shrapnel hits the admirals but to no effect. Both Koby and Helmeppo are very shocked by Luffy’s action and comment on how the admirals will kill him. The ice shards created from Aokiji’s defenses create a mist that Luffy uses to activate Gear Second and pass the admiral. His efforts are futile as Kizaru kicks him at the speed of light. Sengoku then orders Ace to be executed, much to the surprise of Whitebeard, Jinbe, Marco, and the commanders. However, the executioners are hit with Crocodile Sand, which shocks and angers Sengoku. When confronted, he stated he “doesn’t want them to taste victory” and was then beheaded by Donquijote Doflamingo, who claimed he was “jealous of teaming up with Whitebeard”. Crocodile soon recovers and the two fight as Crocodile claims he is “not cooperating with anyone”. Luffy is then attacked by hordes of marines and easily defeats a high-ranking marine. Akainu is about to capture Luffy, but Aokiji pins Luffy to the ground, claiming that he owed Garp a favor, but that Luffy chose “his own path of death”. Boa Hancock tries to intervene, but Marco proves faster and kicks Aokiji away. Having infiltrated deep into Marineford, Galdino believes the Marines are after him when the alarm is raised and panics. The Whitebeard Pirates decide to swim across the boiling water towards Oars Jr. and Sengoku is immediately alerted. In a desperate attempt, the high-ranking marines give the order to fire cannonballs at them, but the lower-ranking marines begin to panic as the pirates advance without hesitation. Soon after, a hidden cloaked ship appears and takes the pirates in, much to the marines’ surprise and Sengoku’s annoyance. The Marines order the ship down, but it’s too fast. Sengoku orders them to shoot the oars, but he is already able to pull the ship out of the water, allowing the pirates safe passage through the square. Garp soon compliments Whitebeard on his tactics and Oars is shot and passed out, telling Whitebeard to save Ace. Whitebeard enters the square and launches a massive shock wave with his weapon. Whitebeard orders his pirates to rescue Ace and destroy the marines. Both Sengoku and Garp, knowing that Whitebeard is about to attack with all his might, decide to fight.
