As Luffy checks on her, he looks up and asks Hancock if he’s going to fight him now, but Hancock says he won’t and he’s done with all the fighting and wants to end it now. When Luffy asks her to change the others back to normal, if she has the power to change them back, she confirms that she does, but says that she is giving Luffy two options: he can have the ship and be transported back to Sabaoda, or return the others. to return to normal and find another way to get off the island on his own. The three sisters look down on him and Hancock thinks that now he will have no choice but to reveal his true nature. However, Luffy gets down on his knees in gratitude and asks her to return them all to normal without hesitating leaving Hancock speechless, prompting Nyon to remark how amazing it is that someone with will power like Luffy would bow his head for those. who saved his life.

Afterwards, Marguerite and her friends return to normal and the others are happy that everyone is okay. When they ask what happened to Luffy, the other Kuja inform them that he was invited to the palace, shocking everyone. At the palace, Sonia expresses her gratitude to Luffy for having her back and apologizes for it before and Luffy says it’s okay because she said she was sorry and Marigold says that if anyone saw what were really on their backs, they would have to leave the country. As Luffy wonders what he means, Hancock says that he can go behind the curtains, and as he does, he thinks it’s just food, only to be disappointed and confused as to why Hancock is naked. Hancock remarks that his rudeness is astonishing, but forgets it and tells him to look again at what he saw on her back and tell her where he saw it before. The mark on her back is revealed to be a hoof mark, and as Luffy looks at it and tries to remember it, Hancock tells him to hurry because it’s not something she likes to show others. Luffy claims he mistook it for the mark on Hatchi’s forehead from earlier. Just then, Nyon arrives and tells Hancock that she should trust him because of his big heart, despite her hesitation. Reading from the newspaper, Nyon reveals Luffy’s attack on the World Noble, his escape from the Central fighters, and how he then managed to get to the island in two days, leaving the sisters speechless. Marigold asks Luffy who he is and Luffy replies that he was trying to tell them that he has no idea how he got there and also mentions that he doesn’t regret what he did to the nobles because of how he hurt Luffy’s friends. Hancock, stunned by what she heard from Luffy, begins to tear up with relief that there are still people in the world who will fight against the World Government and stand up for others, just like “him”. When Luffy asks who he’s talking about, Hancock, knowing she can trust him, says that she will tell him everything and that her mark is the mark of the world’s nobles. She and her sisters were slaves.

When she was twelve, she and her sisters were kidnapped while they were rookie pirates on the Kuja ship and sold to the Sky Dragons. The first man she ever saw was the one who painfully scratched the birthmark on her back and is the reason she hates men. Sonia starts screaming from the painful memories and Luffy says they don’t have to talk about it if they don’t want to. Hancock continues her story of how she and her sisters were slaves for four years and suffered the worst horrors imaginable until one day a fish man named Fisher Tiger climbed the red line and attacked Mary Geoise. Although he hated people, he did not discriminate and freed each of the slaves and burned Mary Geoise. Hancock stated that they owed him a debt they could never repay. Hancock says that the fishmen slaves he freed decided to join him and he covered their slave symbols with the sun mark, explaining that it was probably the mark Hatchi has on his forehead. When Luffy asks if Hatchi was a slave, Sonia says that he wasn’t, as the crew members all had a sunmark that made it impossible to tell the former slaves from the other fishmen. Nyon states that after Tiger’s death, the remaining Sun Pirate members scattered and formed separate pirate crews. Hancock then reveals how she and her sisters were force-fed their Devil Fruits and how she lies and acts the way she does because she believes they would bring shame on her people and herself. She begins to cry uncontrollably and declares that she would rather lie to protect their honor and deal with their painful memories more easily. Luffy can only watch with a stern and angry look after discovering the World Nobles cruelty towards Hancock.

Nyon begins to taunt Hancock, amused that the snake princess was so honest about her feelings and that she thought her heart was as cold as ice, but Hancock tells her to be quiet and remember her place as an outcast. Nyon retorted that she should be more thankful that Nyon was at sea instead of on the Amazon Lily because the three of them would have nowhere to go and she would never have found them if they weren’t outside of her home. Hancock says it’s just a small debt he’s talking about, angering Nyon who starts yelling that she raised her and her sisters as if they were her own daughters, causing Sonia and Marigold to get embarrassed and try to calm her down. Hancock then turns away from Luffy and nervously asks if he despises her because he knows about her past as a slave, but Luffy says that the only people he hates are the Sky Dragons and not her. Hancock, while blushing, smiles and says she likes Luffy and offers him the use of her ship, much to Luffy’s delight.
