Summary:
With the flying fish riders taken care of, the Straw Hats rest while Hatchan treats them to the promised takoyaki. Duval reappears, not for revenge, but as a thank you to Sanji, as his kicks have changed Duval’s face to become handsome and polite, or so he thinks. To make up for the trouble he’s caused, he leaves his Den Den Mushi number with the Straw Hats in case they might need his help before they leave with the newly christened Rosy Life Riders. The Thousand Sunny sails to the Sabaody Archipelago, which is the stepping stone to Fish-Man Island. Hatchan explains that one needs to have their ship coated in bubble resin in order to travel underwater, and once they reach Sabaoda, he promises to find them a stretching machine that he trusts. He also warns them that the World Nobles will be on the island, and no matter what happens, not to touch them, even if they witness the murder.
After the Flying Fish Riders win, the gang searches for Duval. They find him unconscious under the rubble of a building. Duval wakes up and covers his face. The gang shows a mirror and then Duval sees his new face in shock.
Meanwhile, Luffy pounces on Hatchan’s takoyaki on his sales ship Takoyaki 8. The crew enjoy the food Hatchan prepared for them. Camie also introduces some rice cakes and miso. Nami seems to have trouble tasting the food and threatens Hatchan. However, she likes rice cakes.
As they continue their fancy, Duval and his gang arrive, but the leader wants to thank Sanji for fixing his face. Now she has a pretty face and wants a rosy life. Before leaving, Duval hopes the crew will ask if he’s in any trouble. Sanji orders him to leave, believing that he will be happy. Duval then falls for Nami when he thinks she kissed him, but she wiped the sauce off her lips.
Usopp calls Duval an idiot, but then the former leader of the Flying Fish introduces his number and declares his gang to be the Rosy Life Riders.
With the crew packed and Hatchan tired, Camie cleans up and everyone is happy. As Brook passes gas, Nami punches him in anger.
Over tea, Camie then points out that the crew needs to get to the Sabaody Archipelago. Normally the pressure of the water would crush the submarines. Pappag announces that he will light up the ocean for the group. There are two ways to get to the New World; One route allows naval ships to pass Maria Jois without problem, but prevents pirates from passing through. Another passage is a passage on the bottom of the ocean that goes through Fish-Man Island.
Chopper seems to have changed his mind, but since the Thousand Sunny isn’t equipped to go underwater, Camie hopes to get the equipment for the ship.
At the bottom of the red line is a large hole that will lead to Fish-Man Island about 10,000 meters underwater. Camie also points out that the ship needs a coat of paint.
Just then, the Thousand Sunny arrives at the Sabaody Archipelago with bubbles floating around.
Luffy is excited when he sees the bubbles. Camie points out that the bubbles are coming out of the ground. Hatchan then explains how the mangrove trees stick to the water and are the home of the Hustle Muscle Mangroves. There is also a set of cities on the archipelago and the trees indicate the numbers. The islands are connected by bridges.
The ship arrives at Grove 41 and Luffy gets off first. A bubble appears and Luffy jumps at them. Robin sees how sticky the ground is.
Luffy then sees Sabaody Park with a ferris wheel that Camie is obsessed with, but Pappag denies it. Suddenly, the bubbles burst and throw Luffy hard to the ground, but then he pulls his head out.
Hatchan then explains that they need to find a paint specialist to paint the Thousand Sunny. He also trusts an experienced ship painter and hopes to find him, but also warns against the world’s nobles. Under no circumstances are they allowed to attack the world nobles, even if they kill someone.
