Summary:
After a recap of the previous episode, we see Zoro attempting to fight Sogeking hanging from one of his katanas. Both Kaku and Jabra are not threatened by this in the slightest. When Zoro tries to attack them, Sogeking keeps twitching and Zoro misses with each of his attacks, resulting in Sogeking being defeated. Zoro says they have no choice but to use Janken to find out whose arm they have to cut off and go find Chopper as Sogeking yells at Chopper to hurry up.
Meanwhile, Chopper and Kumadori face off in the kitchen. Kumadori just ate a lot of food and broke out of the fridge and is now very fat. Chopper sighs and comments that he doesn’t take good care of his body. Kumadori tells him that there is no need to worry about Chopper repeatedly. Kumadori then proceeds to use Seimei Kikan (Life Feedback) to change his body weight, first losing a lot of weight (using Shouka, meaning digestion), then gaining some weight (using Kyushu, meaning ‘absorb’) and returning to his normal self weight. by Moto Douri. Chopper is simply amazed by this and asks if he could do it again. It does so, returns to the fat, and then goes through the process again. Chopper, even more amazed, asks him to do it again. He does it one more time, but is a bit exhausted after that.
Chopper wants to know how he did it. Kumadori likes to explain that after 1000 years of training in the sea and mountains, breathing the wind and drinking pure water, he has passed the Sennin (Master) training. Enduring it all gave him the Seimei Kikan ability. He goes on to say that all humans, from the hair on their heads to the tips of their feet, can focus their senses and stretch them to their limits, while having complete control over their bodies. Chopper claims that he read something about it in a book once, and also adds that it would be the reason why his hair looks like an octopus. Deeply offended, Kumadori yells at him and tells Chopper to call him a lion.
Kumadori then proceeds to attack Chopper with Seimei Kikan Kamishibari (Life Feedback Hair Strangle) and then his hair moves erratically as he tries to grab Chopper. After chasing for a while, Kumadori uses Soru (to shave) to move over Chopper and attack him with the Shigan Cue (Cue Finger Gun), using his staff instead of his finger. Chopper luckily moves out of the way in time, but is surprised because the staff wasn’t even sharp. Chopper tries to defend himself with his Heavy Point form, but Kumadori uses Tekkai (Iron Matter) to nullify the attack. Chopper realizes that he cannot defeat Kumadori unless he uses his other forms. But since his Rumble Ball limit is six hours and he already took the Rumble Ball, using it now would seriously damage his body. Also, after you take the second Rumble Ball, the transformations get messed up and out of control; and after taking the third, he would lose consciousness and fighting would be out of the question.
Then Kumadori lights the end of his staff and attacks with Shishi Kebab. He took out his stick and quickly set the entire kitchen on fire. Chopper, seeing no other opinion, uses the Rumble Ball, thinking the risks are high but there is still a chance.
Chopper then turns when trying to attack with Horn Point, but turns into Guard Point instead. Kumadori knocks him down with his flaming staff. After bouncing around for a while, Chopper will try to transform into a jumping point, but instead it will turn into a heavy point. Kumadori punches Chopper through the wall. Chopper, lying on the ground, realizes that he can’t control the transformations, but if he can get the Arm Point out, he could hit Kumadori with his ultimate attack. The room is on fire (Kumadori just blew out the fire he had on his staff) and Chopper can’t afford to waste any more time with a guy who doesn’t even have a key. He had to find key number 2 to unlock Zoro and Sogeking’s bonds and free them. He then remembers that he is here to fight for his friends to save Robin. Kumadori then uses Seimei Kikan to turn his hair into many pointing hands. Not backing down, Chopper attacks Kumadori directly as Kumadori attacks with the Shishi Shigan (Lion Finger Gun) and proceeds to beat up Chopper.
Chopper, now full of small holes from Kumadori’s Shigano’s attack, falls as Kumadori says that he will show no mercy as the lion wouldn’t allow it. Chopper’s body hurts not only from the attack, but also from the effects of the Rumble Ball. Since it has seven transformations, the chance of it turning into an Arm Point is one in seven. If he succeeds, he can hit Kumadori with his strongest attack and hopefully end the battle. With this in mind, Chopper attacks and tries to change into an arm point, but fails every time (he first changes to a brain point, then a walk point, then a jump point). All the while, Kumadori keeps attacking with the Shishi Kebab, hitting him almost every time. Then suddenly Chopper turns into Arm Point without realizing it. Without a second, Chopper quickly attacks with Kokutei Roseo Michieri (Carving Hoof Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Snow-Storm). Kumadori uses Tekkai Gou (Strong Iron Mass) but Chopper attacks, smashing through her and dealing massive damage.
Chopper had no energy left and fell. Kumadori first drops to his knees and comments on the beautiful sakura blizzard. But then suddenly, in a fit of rage, he gets up and attacks Chopper with “Lion Lightning”. After smashing Chopper through the wall, Rankyaku Renge (Storm Leg Lotus Blossom) attacks him. Just then, Chopper has a flashback to when he lived with Dr. Kurehou on Drum Island.
In a flashback, Chopper was resting in bed while Dr. Kureha asks Chopper what he did. Chopper didn’t remember anything, but Dr. Kureha said that wasn’t enough. She tells Chopper that he burned down the entire town (although no one died) and the entire island is in an uproar over what happened while Chopper was sleeping. Now, Dr. Kureha said that she doesn’t mind Chopper experimenting, just like his father (referring to Dr. Hiriluk), but Chopper had to consider it carefully before doing it. He then goes on to tell Chopper that the doctor always has a person’s life in his hands. A small mistake can turn into something that cannot be undone. And if he doesn’t have the brain to take such considerations, then he might as well quit being a doctor. Chopper tearfully said he was sorry and would never do it again. Dr. Kureha just told him to hurry up and get better.
Back in the present, Chopper is getting beaten up more and more by Kumadori. Kumadori then grabbed Chopper by the hair and began carefully aiming for the final blow. Just as Kumadori used Yana Gin Jou (Pure Oak Ferment), Chopper changed into his Brain Point form and, desperate to save his friends, took the Rumble Ball a third time. He mentally apologizes to his friends, knowing that this will make him lose control.
As he began to transform, a flashback occurs that explains what happened to Chopper back then. Chopper says he took three Rumble Balls and passed out. Dr. Kureha says that it could be called the rampage of the Devil Fruit, a terrible power that destroys allies, enemies, and his own body as well. It was almost like he was a real Monster. Chopper slowly transforms into a form far more menacing than any he has ever shown. Kumadori watches in utter horror as the reindeer grows into a huge goliath towering over his flames. His eyes glow a bright, primordial blue, and there’s no sign of Chopper’s intellect controlling it—only the savage rage of a beast about to go on a horrific rampage. Monster Chopper roars loudly.
