Summary:
Vivi decides to stay in Alubarna and the Straw Hats indicate that they still consider Vivi a friend, while Bon Kurei helps the Straw Hats escape Hina the Black Cage.
Igaram, overcome with worry about Vivi joining the Straw Hats’ pirate crew, dreamed of her declaring that she wanted to be a pirate queen. After waking up, he immediately went to Vivi’s room. Vivi was in her room getting dressed for her speech with Terracotta’s help and Terracotta sent him out. Igaram and Chaka are then seen discussing the battle between the Straw Hats and the Marines taking place in the harbor, lamenting that unfortunately they cannot help the crew.
The Marines and Straw Hats start a battle, and the Marines attempt to sink the Going Merry, leaving the crew stranded. Luffy recognized Jango and asked why he was a marine. Jango replied that he had his own reasons. On the other hand, Sanji noted that the man next to Jango looked familiar. Fullbody commented that Sanji and his crew would meet their doom that day because it was on. Usopp went to the launcher and fired a cannon at Jango which destroyed the ship he was on as well as the Fullbody ship he was on. Luffy then complimented Usopp’s marksmanship, saying it was amazing. Bon Kurei told them to run after the two ships were destroyed and received word that Hina The Black Cage had arrived. He explained that Black Cage Hina was the captain of the Marine HQ that patrolled the area. Bon Kurei asked why the Straw Hats wouldn’t run and Nami told him about the promise they made to Luffy, adding that it was so they could meet their friend.
Cobra and Igaram visit Vivi and she announces that she would like to tell them something very important. Using his cloaking ability, Bon Kurei tricked the marines into chasing him, allowing the Straw Hats to escape. Bon Kurei recited his Okama Way poem and prepared to engage the Marines in battle. When the Straw Hats witnessed what was happening between the Bon Kurei crew and the marines, they cried and swore they would never forget them. A flashback to how Igaram and Vivi find out that the instigator of the country’s unrest has been visited. Another crew of naval ships attacked the Straw Hats again, but were overwhelmed. Vivi began her speech which was secretly about her straw hat travels. Hearing the speech, Zoro and Sanji told Luffy that he had to leave because it looked like Vivi wasn’t coming. In addition, another crew of naval ships attacked them again. The citizens of the country who had come to see Vivi at the speech realized Igarama’s attempt to disguise himself as Vivi and yelled at him to stand down.
Vivi made it to the harbor and found the Straw Hat crew waiting as promised. Vivi tells them that she came to say goodbye and that she will stay behind. However, she wondered if they ever met again, would they consider her part of their family? Luffy was about to give her a verbal response when Nami shut him up. She told him that the Marines had seen Vivi and that they would consider her a part of them if they responded verbally; making her a criminal. So, to silently answer and say goodbye, the Straw Hats raised their left arm with a cross as proof that they considered her one of them. Vivi and Karoo also raised their left arm at the shore, indicating their friendship.
