Summary:
Atop the Skull Dome, Luffy completes his transformation as he has fully awakened his Devil Fruit power. Meanwhile, the Five Elders in Mary Geoise discuss sacrificing Guernica in an attempt to stop Luffy. The World Government, who were particularly concerned with the power of the Gomu Gomu no Mi, had been trying to reach it for years but to no avail, almost as if the fruit was eluding them. Despite being officially classified as a Paramecia fruit, it is also a Mythical Zoan fruit; Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. Upon awakening his fruit, the user becomes the “Sun God” Nika, who has the power to manipulate his surroundings as if they were made of rubber.
After fully recovering, Luffy releases an extremely powerful Haoshoku Haki that hits the Beasts Pirates on the Live Floor below. He grabs Kaidou’s dragon body and pulls him back over the roof, slamming him against the roof with little resistance. Kaidou fires Bolo Breath at Luffy, but Luffy blocks the fireball by pulling himself to the ground. A fireball bounces off the wall and hits Kaidou. Despite being unable to hit Luffy, Kaidou expresses relief that Luffy was alive, unhappy that he defeated him with Guernica’s help.
Meanwhile, in the treasure vault, Orochi tries to convince Hiyori to remove his Seastone nail and free him. However, after his numerous betrayals and wrongdoings against Kozuki Oden and the people of Wano Land during his reign, Hiyori angrily refuses.
Kazenbo appears, reduced to a tiny trickle by the armory explosion, and returns to his master. Orochi orders Kazenba to burn Hiyori alive. However, Kazenbo doesn’t listen, instead setting Orochi on fire as he remains trapped under the rubble.
