Summary:
Dalton reveals to Vivi and Usopp that Wapol was their former king. But instead of protecting the villagers during Blackbeard’s attack, he fled with the country’s army and became a pirate as bait. Vivi can’t believe that a king can behave so badly. Unfortunately for the people of Drum, their worst fear is about to come true: Wapol and his men are within sight of their former island, and he is returning to reclaim his throne.
Meanwhile, Sanji and Luffy are on their way to get a doctor who can cure Nami, and while chatting they are attacked by a baby lapahn, but Sanji easily disposes of it. A group of adult Lapahns appear in front of them.
Dr. Kureha, the only doctor on the island, descended on a nearby town. She cures a boy who is suffering immensely, but the villagers are skeptical of her unorthodox behavior and charges. She easily convinces them after she demonstrates her prodigious abilities by diagnosing and effectively curing the boy.
Dalton is surprised to learn that the Straw Hats know about Wapol. Usopp replies that he tried to attack them a few days ago, and Vivi reveals that she met him at the council of kings a while ago. Vivi’s comment shocks Dalton about her true identity. Trying to cover up her mistake, Vivi changes the subject.
Dalton then explains that Wapol was the king of the land but fled when the pirates arrived, which makes Vivi wonder how a king can be so indifferent to his people.
Meanwhile, Luffy is carrying Nami as they are confronted by Lapins. While it was revealed that Kureha had just come to the neighboring village and that Wapol had finally found the drum kingdom. Elsewhere, Dr. Kureha is in a bar diagnosing a child who she believes was on the verge of death, but she treats him and then demands an exceptionally high fee, angering both the father and the villagers, but the boy thanks her and collects his fee.
