Summary:
Sanji and Luffy try to escape the avalanche created by the lapahn. As they try to escape to the highest place, they are still chased by the ferocious animals. To save Nami, Sanji sacrifices himself and throws Luffy and Nami to safety and is hit by the entire front of the avalanche.
The avalanche is also heading for Drum’s villages. Wapol quickly escapes with the help of his Devil Fruit abilities. Convinced that it was a premeditated plan by the Straw Hats to attack him, he leaves for the castle with his two lieutenants.
In the mountain, Luffy is safe and has found Sanji. However, the cook is now unconscious.
Usopp and Vivi and the villagers flee from the avalanche.
Elsewhere, Luffy and Sanji try to find higher ground, but are unable to escape the avalanche. Luffy grabs a tree and rides it like a sled while grabbing Sanji. They are confronted by more Lapahnas who throw trees at them, but Sanji kicks Luffy away as he takes the brunt of the attack and saves his friends. Luffy tries to grab Sanji’s hand, but only grabs his glove.
Meanwhile, the villagers are freaking out from the avalanche, as is Wapol, who flees on his pet.
Luffy dives into the snow to retrieve Sanji. After an avalanche hits and the village is buried, Wapol cuts through and blames the avalanche on the Straw Hats as a premeditated plot to attack him.
Luffy finds Sanji and begins to bring him back to the mountain. As it passes by the burying brood, it also pulls out the parent brood. The child and the adult lapah are shocked that a human helped them. Luffy is soon found by Wapolo’s men.
