Summary:
Luffy remembers the last words the Crocodile spoke before he was thrown into the quicksand and tries to escape, but the sands begin to pull him down again. Fortunately, he is pulled out by the powers of Mrs. Hana Hana.
After Luffy thanks her for saving him, she asks him why he and D. keep fighting in the name. At a loss, he drops the subject, but the sudden appearance of Pell catches her attention. Ignoring his threats, she suggests that he help Luffy and tells him that Vivi is heading towards Alubarna before leaving for F-Wani. Luffy then grabs Pell and states that he is hungry.
Meanwhile, in Nanohana, it is finally revealed that Igaram survived back at Whiskey Peak and that he must hurry to stop the civil war. As the rebels drive towards Alubarna, a sandstorm created by Crocodile reaches Yuba. Before they reach the city, Toto yells at him, saying that he will never break Yuba.
Meanwhile, Usopp is shocked to learn that Hasami cannot cross the Sandora River because his crab breed cannot travel in water. Fortunately, Chopper remembers that Hasami likes the dancers that Nami is dressed as. So to motivate Hasami (much to Sanji and Matsuge’s delight), Nami reveals her dancer outfit. This ensures that Hasami enters a whole new level of speed that seems to be enough to cross the river, but unfortunately it’s not enough.
The crew leaves Hasami behind and is forced to cross on foot, which will take at least a day. To make matters worse, Sandor comes across catfish, who tries to eat a lot of them. Fortunately, they are saved by the Kung Fu Dugongs. Apparently they did so because they are Luffy’s subordinates (as he defeated them a few chapters ago) and assumed the Straw Hats were as well. This allows the Straw Hats to wade the rest of the river on the knocked out catfish while the Dugong pulls it along.
When they reach the other side of the river, they are saddened that without Hasami, it will be impossible to reach Alubarna in time, even with Matsuge (who can only carry two people, preferably women). However, they are saved by the timely arrival of Karoo and the Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops.
At the west gate of Alubarna, the remaining agents of the Baroque Cannons discuss the force they are dealing with, given that the Straw Hats have managed to defeat six of their agents, not including Miss Wednesday. However, they all agree that the only thing that really matters is that Vivi must be removed.
