Summary:
Luffy inexplicably gains the armor while searching the halls of Hogback’s Mansion with Franky and Robin to find out where Zoro and Sanji are. Franky scolds him for going crazy at a time like this, but Luffy retorts that it’s a man’s “romance” to wear armor while lying down. Luffy questions if Franky’s new hardened body meant he also lost his heart, causing Franky to tear up and play a song on the guitar. While Luffy is very amused by the cyborg’s music, Buhichuck watches the antics and wonders if the Straw Hats really understand the gravity of the situation. Robin notices that they have entered a large arena as Buhichuck chuckles to himself in light of it. Suddenly, a heavily armored figure comes down, trying to stab Franky, but he is able to dodge. The Straw Hats noticed that the figure was moving quite nimbly despite having a spear embedded in its body, and concluded that it was a zombie inside the armor. Franky lands a “Strong Right” on the zombie, but it only pushes her back as the zombie responds with a flying cross slash. Franky is able to dodge again and registers the zombie’s power as the attack destroys the wall behind him. However, he points out that he is no stronger than a normal swordsman and takes down the zombies with “Gun Left”. The zombie actually falls to the ground this time, but gets up and immediately slashes Franky on the left forearm. Robin and Luffy show concern that they cut Franky, but Franky doesn’t seem bothered. He grabs a zombie by the entire head and throws it across the room as he claims he won’t die when hit by a corpse like him. Luffy notices the zombie getting back to its feet, and Franky comments that this one is on a completely different level than the other zombies they’ve encountered so far. Buhichuck comments on the nature of the zombies from afar, stating that no matter how much punishment it inflicts on them, it won’t actually hurt them. Each of these zombie generals has made a name for themselves in their lifetime by being powerful warriors, so they only become more destructive as they become immortal. He further taunts the Straw Hats that there is no way they can win and that none of their nakama are safe. Luffy chases after the pig to shut the pig down, but Buhichuck escapes and commands the wall zombie to close the path behind him. The Straw Hats then turn to realize they are surrounded by heavily armored General Zombies.
Franky points out that the group will be defeated if they try to take them all at once, to which Luffy agrees. Robin suggests they get to the courtyard, which they all agree on as the zombies attack. The Straw Hats are able to fend off the first wave of zombies easily, but Luffy notices a “36 Pound Cannon” (Sanjuroku Pound Ho) flying towards him, which he is barely able to dodge. Recognizing the attack, Luffy asks if Zoro is there. The warrior claims that the scar on his back is shameful, but ironically notes that he himself is covered in scars. This causes Luffy to wonder again if it is really Zoro, but the warrior introduces himself as “Jigoro”. This slight distraction gives the General Zombies an opening and they capture Luffy. Robin and Franky fend off another wave of zombies; Robin with “Once Fleur: Slam (11 Flowers)” and Franky with “Fresh Fire”. Several zombies dump buckets of water on themselves to alleviate it, much to Franky’s shock. Robin and Franky escape the room, but notice that Luffy didn’t come out with them. Franky mentions that Luffy’s own armor makes it hard to distinguish him from the General Zombies, and Robin realizes that they can’t just wait for Luffy there or the zombies will catch up with them. Franky calls out to Luffy, but soon notices a cobweb-sealed coffin being slid across the chain above them. The person in the coffin screams to be let out and Robin realizes that this is Luffy. Robin confirms to Franky that their captain has been captured and they immediately run to rescue him. However, their pursuit is quickly interrupted as Tararan lands in front of them as a gigantic spider monkey. Tararan notices Luffy’s coffin making its way to the Mast Mansion, while Franky and Robin question their captain about the enemy’s intentions. Tararan assures them that whatever happens to Luffy will soon happen to them as he reminds them of their situation: they have to deal with him in front of them, but behind them are the rest of the General Zombies who have started chasing them. This tells the Straw Hats that they are done.
