Summary:
Hogback is outraged that Cindry has stopped following his orders and cries, taking the opportunity to remind her how zombies live only to obey the will of their masters. Cindry reaffirms that her current actions are involuntary, causing Chopper and Robin to notice that the original owner of her body is still resisting despite having died 10 years ago. Cindry regains some measure of control and expresses her intention to defeat the Straw Hats, pleasing Hogback, who plans to use her as a distraction for his escape. Robin expresses regret at having to hurt Cindry, but uses “Doce Fleur” to immobilize her anyway. Hogback tries to escape, noticing the mansion shaking again as he does so, wondering if it’s the oars. Chopper lunges at him, causing Hogback to curse him and call him a monster. Chopper retorts that his captain doesn’t care about such things and has all sorts of people under his command because of it. So he doesn’t have to resort to corpses that have no will of their own to carry out his orders. Chopper calls out for Robin, who uses “Pierna Fleur” to propel him and Hogback high into the air. As Chopper prepares for a suplex, Hogback pleads that hitting him from that height will kill him and cost the world a brain as valuable as his. Chopper says he doesn’t care because what’s in the heads of Hogback and his colleagues stinks worse than zombies.
In the Special Freezer Room, Luffy comes face to face with his zombie for the first time and notes that Oars is much larger than any giant he has ever seen. Gecko Moria is pleased that Oars and Luffy’s shadow seem to have finally synced up and asks the special zombie who his master is. When Oars confirms that it is Moria, Luffy angrily tells his shadow’s new owner not to take orders from the Warlord. Oars ignores Luffy’s command but notices his straw hat. Moria gives Oars his first task: defeat the Straw Hat Pirates. He begs the oars to use their full power and not worry about him killing them. Beast agrees and quickly remembers Luffy and his straw hat. Moria seizes the opportunity and leaves Luffy to his fate, who tries in vain to stop the creature from using “Gomu Gomu No Kane”. The oar head completely destroys the wall and subsequently destroys the room that Robin, Chopper, Hogback and Cindry are in. Unable to complete his “Robicho Suplex” due to the floor collapsing, Chopper transforms into Walk Point and drops safely to Robin’s place. Spotting Luffy’s zombies, Hogback and Cindry fall to the lower levels of the mansion. A huge boulder hits Hogback, preventing him from moving. He calls out to Cindry for help, who again states that she can’t move as she looks up at Chopper. As Hogback hurls insults at her for refusing his orders, she smiles widely at Chopper. This gets Chopper and Robin’s attention, but they are unable to do anything about it before the oars go through the floor again, destroying it.
While running down the nearby corridor outside Peron’s room, Usopp notices that the shaking of the mansion is much more violent than before. Before he has time to think about it, the oars break through the ceiling and make him run even faster.
Nearby at the church, Sanji notices shaking as he carries an incapacitated Nami. Oar’s leg soon crashes through the ceiling and Sanji wonders if it is actually Luffy’s zombie. He tells Nami, who is still unconscious, that he needs to run, but she immediately disappears from his arms. After a sly note from an invisible entity, Sanji deduces that Absalom is still present and demands that he show himself. Absalom retorts that it looks like the oars are finally under their control, and he has his bride again. Sanji tries in vain to get him to return Nami before letting Oars deal with him.
The oars fully emerge from the mast tower, with Zoro, Franky, and Brook taking notice from atop the ruins of Hogback’s mansion. Franky and Zoro saw Sanji at the feet of Oars still looking for Nami. Elsewhere, Luffy has picked up Moriia’s trail and is chasing him down one of the mansion’s corridors. Moria asks if he’s going to haunt him forever. Luffy acknowledges that Oars is quite a threat as well, but realizes that he must defeat Moria in order to return everyone’s shadows. Back at the Church, Absalom reveals himself, noting the power of his sleeping pills while holding Nami. He reveals that he intends to go ahead with his wedding to an unconscious Nami.
Special zombies gather around the incapacitated Perona, noticing that she is foaming at the mouth and needing to get her out of the collapsing mansion. The zombies decided to escape the mansion and fight to avenge Perona. Chopper and Robin catch up with Usopp in Peron’s Garden of Wonders, where he updates the pair that Luffy’s zombies seem to be looking specifically for them. Oars shout loudly for the Straw Hat Pirates to show themselves, prompting mixed reactions from the crew. Sanji and Usopp wonder if the zombie really intends to fight them, while Robin seems convinced that he’s been given orders. Chopper worries for their captain’s well-being, and Franky wonders how they can take down Oars. Zoro, on the other hand, notes that things are getting interesting.
