Summary:
After Franky saves Usopp from an attack by Oars, he is surprised to see that Brook is able to move at all. Brook reveals that when he found the salt in the kitchen, he also discovered some milk that healed his injuries from drinking it. Usopp claims that the calcium doesn’t work that fast, but Brook stands his ground and counters that the milk heals broken bones. Sanji points out that the only way to the kitchen is now closed, meaning that the salt Brook brought them is their last hope. Brook is surprised to see Moria inside the oar, who feels slighted by being referred to as a “passenger”, and vows to show the Straw Hats what real nightmares are made of. Brook agrees to help the Straw Hats fight the oars as a gesture of gratitude for regaining his shadow, but quickly succumbs to the pain. Zoro urges him not to push himself too hard and to be careful with the salt. Usopp fires a “Special Oil Star” which Franky ignites, creating a giant “Fire Bird Star” that hits the oars in the face. Moria urges Oars to calm down and put out the fire because he’s a zombie now and attacks like that don’t work on him. Meanwhile, Zoro jumps into Chopper’s hands, which boost him high into the air above a nearby building. Zoro uses “Triple Sword Style: Daibatsu Giri” and slices the building into several blocks as he descends. Sanji continues Zoro’s efforts by kicking the building blocks towards the oars with the “Jenga Cannon”. However, the oars knock the pieces of the tower back at the Straw Hats. Usopp and Franky form a giant slingshot from the rubble of the surrounding buildings, the “Kuwagata”. Usopp comments on the crude design, but Franky assures him that it will be fine as he prepares to launch himself straight into Oars’ stomach. Franky then fires a mortar directly at Moria at close range, but Oars dodges and kicks Franky into a building. Moria commands the oars to finish Franky off. Zoro and Chopper prepare to rescue him, but Nami electrocutes the oars with a powerful “Thunderbolt Tempo”, stopping him in his tracks. While the zombies elsewhere on the island seem certain that Oars has somehow shot down the lightning, a lovesick Sanji calls out to Nami, who calms him down to avoid the odd zombie discovering her hideout. This proves to be to no avail as Oars immediately spots her and targets her for an attack. While Nami and Chopper wonder if he can actually get to her from his location, Zoro has Usopp move Franky’s body. To everyone’s surprise, Oars completely destroys the part of the castle where Nami is hiding using “Gomu Gomu no Pistol”. Robin manages to save Nami while the Straw Hats wonder how Oars suddenly has access to Luffy’s devil fruit powers. Oars then use “Gomu Gomu no Whip”, with the Straw Hats barely able to avoid his newfound reach.
Elsewhere in the forest on Thriller Bark, Luffy gets upset with a group of people blocking his path. They reveal themselves as the “Rolling Pirates” and are aware of Luffy’s race against time. The Risky Brothers identify themselves in their human form under their captain Lola and explain to Luffy that she is their last hope for their common goal of defeating Moria. They further claim that they understand the secret of Moria’s power and that they can give Luffy incredible power to defeat him. This piques Luffy’s interest.
