 Summary:

The chapter opens with the Sun Pirates rejoicing that they found Eternal Pose on Koala’s home island, and she is seen after being cleaned up and dressed in new clothes, which Hatchan comments on, saying how much better she looks. She is conscientious and says she could never adopt something like an eternal pose. Hatchan asks what she’s talking about since they went through the trouble of buying it and getting her a haircut and he says he thinks her mom would like the new look better. Koala then starts cleaning the deck. Hatchan tells her not to clean up just because she doesn’t know what to do and she’s not in Mary Geoise anymore. Aladine, the crew doctor, tells Hatchan to let her do as she pleases, saying it’s best to take the trauma slowly. This seemed to surprise Hatchan. Arlong remarks that Aladine knows what he’s talking about, having been a former slave, and would understand Koala’s feelings better than anyone. Arlong then goes on to say that what Aladine really wants is to kill her because she is human, just like his slaves, to which Fisher Tiger tells him to stop. Arlong tells her to show them what she’s really like on the inside, to show them how her parents taught her to look down on fishmen. Arlong goes on to say that all humans think they are the greatest, and their children will inherit this mindset, and unless someone dismantles these beliefs, the cycle will never stop. Arlong adds that surely everyone knows what he’s talking about because he saw the way people were looking at them and said he didn’t know what he would have done to them if Tiger wasn’t there. Jinbe claims that this is only one part of humanity and not everyone thinks this way. From what he can tell, people fear fish men more than anything else.
Jinbe sits down next to the koala and asks her why people are afraid of fish men. Koala simply replies that it’s because humans don’t know anything about fish people, prompting Jinbe to immediately remember Queen Otohime saying the same thing about humans. She then tells Koala that there might be some change if she got to know them better, to which she agrees. The scene changes to a montage of the koala bonding with the Sun Pirates as she plays with Hatchan where he hides something in one of his six hands and she has to guess which hand it is. The pirates are then seen in town carrying supplies. to their ship and the people looked at them with frightened looks. Hatchan is then seen bringing a giant octopus to the surface, much to Koala’s shock. Then it starts snowing and everyone celebrates. Later, everyone eats and has a good time.
A few weeks pass and the crew arrives at an island called Foolshout Island. Koala’s hometown is located on this island. Macro and Gyaro tearfully say goodbye, and an angry Kuroobi tells them to control themselves. Tiger asks where her village is, she says he will take her to the entrance. Koala says goodbye to the crew and they all wave back as he leaves with Fisher Tiger, playfully holding his hand. Arlong comments that Koala will grow up like any other human, Jinbe and Macro tell him to stop. Arlong tells Jinbe that he’s changed in the past three years and asks if it really makes a difference for one person to believe that fish men are good people, saying that Otohimo’s belief turned out the same. Meanwhile, Tiger and Koala arrived at her village. Everyone is stunned to see that she has returned and her mother begins to cry. He runs to his mother while Tiger keeps his distance, smiling at the reunion as Koala and her mother embrace, even as everyone else gives Tiger evil or uncomfortable looks. The tiger turns to leave and waves goodbye without looking back. When Koala waves back, he turns to wave. After reaching a short distance from the city, he is intercepted by Rear Admiral Strawberry. Strawberry tells him that they were warned that he was coming to this island and said that the people in Koala’s village didn’t mind the Marines capturing him in exchange for the Marines being willing to overlook the fact that Koala was the property of the World Nobles. and charge Tiger with escape and assault for the attack on Mary Geoise.
Back on the ship, the Sun Pirates hear gunshots coming from the direction of the village. They then look out to sea and Chew exclaims that they are surrounded by marines. The marines begin firing and Jinbe orders everyone to abandon ship and head to the bottom of the ocean as he realizes that Tiger is in trouble. The scene changes back to Tiger and the Marines, with Tiger down on one knee covered in blood. One marine exclaims that he just won’t go down, while another reminds him that the tiger was the one that attacked the Mary Geois. The tiger then attacks the soldier, knocking his weapon out of his hand and sending him crashing into a rock. The Sun Pirates call out to him and someone alerts Strawberry that they have arrived. Strawberry merely comments that pirates have been quite the topic of conversation lately. While Jinbe leads one faction of the Sun Pirates in a fight against the Marines, Arlong is still underwater with the rest of the crew and says they will steal a naval ship to compensate for its destruction. Back in town, Koala asks his mother if she heard anything just now. Her mother, without looking at her daughter, simply says no.
There is a narrative that says the Fisher Tiger was critically wounded from an ambush, but that the crew was able to steal a naval vessel. Inside the ship’s infirmary, Hatchan doesn’t understand what Tiger is saying. Aladine says he’s losing too much blood and needs a transfusion. Unfortunately, none of the crew had usable blood for Tiger, as he possessed a rare type. Someone asks if the ship’s blood supply could be used, and Aladine says that humans and fishmen have the same blood, and assures Tiger that they can use human blood to save him. Aladine is about to start the transfusion when Tiger yells at him not to give him human blood. He calls it the dirty blood that the hatred of fish men flows through and he doesn’t want to owe people anything. With tears in his eyes, Tiger confesses his will not to give in to humans. Tiger then confesses to them something he has been keeping secret. He reveals that he was never on the road on his last quest. He was captured and spent several years in Mary Geoise crying tearfully that he was a slave. No one can believe what they hear from their captain. Tiger describes what he saw as ‘human madness.’ He barely escaped with his life and couldn’t leave the other slaves. He then tells them to listen carefully. He tells them that he has always lived by his faith, so things were indeed difficult. behind Otohime’s ambitions as a result. He acknowledges that Otohime is right that everyone should try and live in peace. Those who can change the world are people like Koala who don’t know hatred. He asks the crew not to tell anyone about what he told them about their rage or their tragedy. He knows that the world is full of good-hearted people, but that they are a dying breed and soon all that will be left is hatred. He tells them that he knows all this, but a demon took his heart, so his body refused human blood.
Jinbe begs him not to talk like that, that he has to live. Aladine tells him that all the slaves he freed owe him a huge debt that they will never be able to repay, and says that he is still the hero of Fish-Man Island. Tiger tells him he’s glad to hear that. Tiger remembers when he took control of the Fish-Man District, right before his death. The crew cries uncontrollably. The chapter cuts into the narrative and says that the curtains have been drawn on the life of the esteemed fish man, Fisher Tiger.
Some time later, Arlong returned to Foolshout Island to take revenge on the people who betrayed and helped assassinate his captain. However, things did not go smoothly and he was attacked and brutally beaten by Vice Admiral Borsalino. Enraged, Arlong tearfully exclaims that he will kill all the people who sold out his captain here, and then kills everyone on the island who originally tricked the marines, saying that Tiger was killed by the bottom feeders. Borsalino is seemingly happy to hear confirmation of Tiger’s death and then tells Arlongo that he is coming with him.
