 Summary:

The person who shot Queen Otohime is shot. Jinbe looks at the person and tells the guards nearby to keep quiet about it. Hody Jones picks up the body and calls it reality. Jinbe tells him it isn’t, but Jones doesn’t listen. Jones stands on top of a building and displays the body for all to see. He then states that a human sneaked onto the island and killed the queen. Everyone is horrified by this revelation. He now believes that the fish men could never join the humans on the surface. A minister of the left questions the existence of God. Sometime later, Neptune walks into the Hard-Shell Tower and locks himself in, telling the guards not to let him out until he has dispelled his urge to kill. The minister of the left sits behind the tower door and listens to the king. Neptune tells him that he would have killed the person even if he wasn’t armed, but Otohime wouldn’t forgive him. He goes on to say that as the king he understands and feels for what Otohime said. But as a husband, he cannot understand why he is unable to torture the person who murdered his wife. She talks about how it wouldn’t be the same if he took up her cause, and that there are things even a warrior can’t protect.
Later, someone tells Neptune that something strange is going on. Shirahoshi complains about the letter and says that he flies after her no matter where she goes. Fukaboshi adds that it is also the fifth letter. After learning about Vander Decken, Neptune tells her children to stay home from the funeral because the killer may have accomplices. He orders the guards to find Vander Decken immediately. At the funeral, everyone stands in front of Otohimo’s grave. Fukaboshi then appears on a large video screen. He tells the people that he and his siblings will carry on their mother’s ambitions and Fish-Man Island will be ready for Levely, if not in two years, then in six years, and if not there, then in one in ten years. Fukaboshi tells them they will start over with new signings and everyone will dream of sunshine. Flashback ends.
Jinbe adds that the princes and princess have kept their word for ten years. Jinbe tells Nami that since he wasn’t there to stop Arlong’s tyranny, he will accept the responsibility as his former captain. Meanwhile, Luffy is sleeping. Jinbe explained that since Arlong had paid off the marines in the area, no information about his actions had reached headquarters. Sanji, still angry at Jinbe, orders him to cut open his stomach, saying that if anything, it will make Nami feel a little better. Nami tells him to stop, saying that Jinbe meant no harm. Jinbe tells her that she will accept whatever punishment she wishes. Nami tells him to stop thinking like that since he wasn’t part of Arlong’s gang and more importantly he’s Luffy’s friend. Nami tells him that a new friend came out of that horrible experience (Sanji asks if she meant him) and she holds no grudge against the fishmen. He tells Jinbe not to apologize. Jinbe is stunned by what Nami said. He gets down on his hands and knees and says he owes her. Nami then realizes how much pain Jinbe felt from the whole ordeal in Arlong and how it was eating away at him for so long. Franky starts crying as well, saying that she feels Jinbe’s pain and how much she loves the fish man.
Sanji kicks Luffy awake. Luffy wakes up and asks Jinbe what happened to the robber who attacked Otohime at the beginning of the story, much to Sanji’s annoyance. Nami and Chopper start talking to Shirahoshi, asking if she is really a princess and if she is friends with the Sea Kings. Shirahoshi says she is and apologizes as she can’t help but cry when she thinks about her mother. Nami tells her that Otohime was a wonderful mother and Shirahoshi agrees. Shirahoshi tells Nami that she feels comfortable with her despite it being their first time meeting. Nami replies that it might be because they have similar backgrounds.
Jinbe then starts talking about the situation in the palace. The New Fish-Man Pirates took over with Neptune and the guards held captive. Zoro, Usopp, Brook and Pappag are also there with an unknown situation. Hatchan tells Jinbe that if everything goes according to Jones’ plan, things are going to get a lot worse. Jinbe asks if Hatchan knows Jones’ plans, and Octopus says yes. Before we continue, Hatchan mentions the only difference between Hody Jones and Arlong. Arlong hates humans, but would never harm a fellow fish. Jones hates humans and will kill any fishman who sympathizes with them. Hatchan tells them that Levely is this year and that Neptune plans to attend since they have enough signatures to tell the people about Fish-Man Island’s plan to migrate to the surface. Jinbe exclaims that Jones plans to stop Neptune in his tracks. Hatchan tells him there’s more to it, but before he can go any further, something scares Chopper. Something came out of the forest. Den identifies it as a mobile visual Den Den Mushi that is attached to a monitor. Hody Jones is then seen on the monitor. Hody greets the residents of Fish-Man Island, conducts a sound check, and then introduces himself as the captain of the New Fish-Man Pirates.
