Summary:
As the children run, they tell Nami about how they were brought to the island to be cured of their illnesses. They were taken from their homes because their diseases could infect their parents without getting a chance to say goodbye to their families. Nami realizes that it screams of kidnapping. Chopper thinks their illnesses are pretty serious, and Nami slaps him for not realizing the obvious truth. He then tells Chopper to get the kids checked up later to know if they were truly cured. They reach the end of the corridor and see a door; Nami thinks it’s a dead end, but Chopper breaks down the door. The room they are now in is dark and cold, making Nami wonder if they are in the freezer or outside. Nami sees a door on the other side of the room and starts running. One of the kids tells Nami that the room scares her. The children explain that they passed through this room when they first arrived at the facility. Nami tells them that means it leads to the exit. The girl tells Nami to look around, revealing a room full of frozen people. Nami and Chopper are then horrified to realize that the room they are in is used to store giant corpses.
Back at Biscuit’s Room, Sanji “hears” Nami scream in terror. He tells Franky that he has to hurry. Franky wonders why the people they defeated have the lower bodies of goats when he only heard about them from legends. Kin’emon asks to stay in the room since he didn’t see his son there among the children, he said he will look for other rooms. Sanji yells at him, asking how he could move as a mere head. He then asks Kin’emon to be honest and asks them to help him search for the rest of his body. Kin’emon stubbornly declares that he won’t owe the pirates, but in case they happen to want to find his body, he doesn’t complain. Sanji is about to hit his head on the floor in a fit of rage, but Franky rips it out of his hand and tells Sanji that he lost the moment he took his head with them. Sanji throws a fit to know the head’s resolve, then beats it up before carrying it again.
In front of the device, Tashigi plays a recording of the transmission between Luffy and the person who sent the distress signal from the island to Trafalgar Law. Tashigi tells him that based on what was said in the transmission, the call was undoubtedly sent from Punk Hazard. Smoker recalls Law’s past encounters with Luffy, both in Sabaody after the incident with Saint Rosward and in Marineford when he was being chased by Akainu. Law doesn’t trust Smoker because the Marines are known for spoofing transmission signals to catch pirates. Smoker tells him it’s real and Law says they can end the conversation because he doesn’t know anything. The smoker asks to see the inside of the facility, and Law refuses. He asks what’s so bad about being on an island that the government has gotten rid of. He then tells Smoker if the Straw Hats show up then he will take care of them so the Marines can go. They then heard a noise outside the door, a voice saying how scary the frozen people were, and then another voice pointing to the door. Nami, Chopper and the kids burst through the door. Nami is surprised at how cold it is, Tashigi is surprised to see the Straw Hat Pirates, and the kids are excited to be outside. Franky is then seen carrying two more children on his lap. He has tank treads on his calves and several behind him, with Sanji and his head on his back. Everyone (except Nami) does Franky’s “SUPER” pose, stunning everyone speechless. Nami and Chopper then recognize Law from Sabaody and ask if he was the one who locked the kids away saying he wouldn’t bring them back. Sanji recognizes Smoker and Tashigi, the latter of whom questions why there are children on the island.
Sanji orders all the kids to go back inside, which confuses them because marines are supposed to be good people. Smoker asks Law why he said he was alone. Law can’t give a straight answer other than to say he’s surprised. The Straw Hats and children run back inside and Tashigi gives orders to chase after them. The law will stop them using Room. He then uses Takt to lift the G-5 ship, as well as some of the water around it, into the air. Law says he can’t let them leave the island and he shouldn’t have said he was alone. Smoker orders his soldiers to hold back, saying that people like them will just be dismantled if they fight Law, and pulls out his jitte ready to fight him.
