Summary:
Despite Kuzan’s presence, Doflamingo tries to kill Smoker anyway, but is quickly frozen by Kuzan’s Devil Fruit ability. However, he manages to break free as the ice did not reach his heart. Seeing nothing to gain by fighting Kuzan, Doflamingo leaves, but not before asking Kuzan what he stands for because of the rumors he heard. Kuzan does not answer him and shouts at the medic. Doflamingo collects Baby 5 and Buffalo and leaves. Only then does Kuzan state that even though he is no longer in the Marine Corps, he never fully trusted the World Government and that he can still make a difference outside of the Marine Corps. Smoker questions how he knew about Punk Hazard since it’s top secret, worried he’s doing business with the criminal underworld. The G-5 Marines, who have been eavesdropping on the conversation, are yelled at by Kuzan, who asks them to clear out as they treat Smoker. He then informs Smoker that he does no such thing. He also warns Smoker to tell Sakazuki to watch out for Doflamingo as he is currently the biggest threat to the Marines. Although his presence is not as obvious as the Kuja Pirates, his pirate prowess was truly exceptional. He tells Smoker to ask the fleet admiral to send the admirals as soon as possible. He also asks the G-5 Marines not to reveal his presence there, which they commit to.
Out at sea, the crew takes a breather. Usopp and Chopper are furious that Doflamingo is coming to attack them. Kin’emon almost gets into a fight with Zoro because he thinks he robbed Ryuma’s grave because he had his Shusui sword with him. Momonosuke is revealed to be taking a bath with Robin, much to the envious anger of Sanji, Brook, and Kin’emon. When they confront him about it, Nami punches all three for their alleged bullying. When he is rescued, he addresses Nami as the fair princess, prompting him to accept a hug from Nami (much to the anger of the three perverts). Momonosuke deliberately rubs his face against Nami’s breasts as he grins maliciously at the three. As the night continues, most of the crew (Luffy, Zoro, Brook, Nami, Robin, Law, and Momonosuke) are asleep while the others (Usopp, Chopper, Franky, Sanji, and Kin’emon) stay awake and take care of Sunny. Momonosuke is revealed to be snoring in the same bed as the two female crew members.
Morning comes and the newspaper seagull delivers a newspaper stating that Doflamingo has given up his position as Shichibukai as per Law’s demands, as well as his position as royalty in Dressrosa. However, there is also a picture of Luffy and Law and an article announcing their alliance, much to the surprise of the crew. There are also reports in the paper regarding the Kid, Apoo and Hawkins alliance, though Law is not interested. He then begins to explain the next phase of his agenda to the crew.
On Dressrose, the island is in an uproar over the news while Doflamingo is in his office reading and listening to music. Law’s Den Den Mushi rings and Doflamingo decides to answer.
