Summary:
Luffy declines the crew’s offer, saying that he doesn’t like alcohol, which shocks them all. Bartolomeo yells at him that they will be hunted by powerful people because of this incident, and to become a pirate king, he would need a powerful fleet to help him rule the world. However, Zoro tells him to leave Luffy alone since he didn’t do such things, and asks if he can drink alcohol instead, much to Bartolome’s anger. Orlumbus asks Luffy what he didn’t like about the arrangement, knowing that Luffy will definitely need them one day. Luffy replies that it was too tense, which shocks the crew even more as Luffy catches the smell of food. Cavendish and Sai take offense and say that Luffy should be honored to serve under him, as Ideo decides to force Luffy to drink sake while he eats, much to Usopp’s annoyance. Luffy then exclaims that he wanted to be a pirate king and not a big shot, confusing the crew as well as Law and the amused Straw Hat Pirates who look on. Luffy tells the crews that if they ever got into trouble, they would call the crews to help them. There would be no need for a parent-child system, as the straw pirates would come to the aid of any of the crews and vice versa, united by their battle against Doflamingo. Bartolomeo realizes that Luffy’s idea of a pirate king is not an important person, but someone who is free, and begins to cry.
Suddenly, the Yonta Maria comes under cannon fire, but Leo knows that the Marine battleships are unable to attack. The leader of the attackers yells for them to bring Luffy out so they can kill him as he ruined the crucial negotiation they were having with Doflamingo. Orlumbus assigns his crew to handle the situation. The leader of the attackers reveals that they formed a fleet alliance to take him down and resume negotiations with Riku Doldo III, ordering his men to fire. The seven captains on the Yonta Mario admire Luffy’s determination and decide to drink sake even though Luffy won’t. As Yonta Maria comes under fire, a member of the Grand Fleet warns the citizens of Dressrosa to flee, but they tell him that Fujitora will drop the debris if they do. However, debris starts falling on the enemy ships, which Fujitora says is a parting gift for Luffy.
On Yonta Maria’s ship, the seven captains pledge their allegiance to Luffy and drink sake from their cups, shocking Luffy. The crew members then prepare everything for a banquet to celebrate the creation of the Grand Straw Hat Fleet. Luffy angrily yells that he didn’t get any sake, but Sai tells him that it should be because they selfishly pledged their loyalty to him, while Luffy would have no obligation to them. Luffy then runs off to eat while the subordinate captains chat happily among themselves.
The Marines watch in shock as the rubble rains down without hitting any of the Straw Hats’ ships, and it is revealed that Fujitora misses them on purpose. Knowing he shouldn’t, Fujitora shouts his gratitude to the Straw Hats for helping the World Government in Dressros. However, Sengoku comes to him and reveals that he heard it, embarrassing Fujitora. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Kyros watch the fleet escape and Rebecca wonders if she will ever meet Luffy again. He then grabs Kyros’ bare hand, noting that it feels warm. Kyros confirms this, remembering how he was unable to feel warmth as a toy, and begins to cry again. Back on Yonta Maria, Luffy gives a toast during the banquet, saying it’s time to celebrate their victory over the Donquixote Pirates. As the party continues, it is foreshadowed that the Grand Fleet of Straw Hats will be responsible for a key event that happens in the future.
