One Piece Episode 117

Summary:

Nami faces Miss Doublefinger and tries to figure out the new weapon Usopp made for her, the Clima-Tact.

Vivi can’t believe that Luffy is dead. Crocodile tells her that Luffy would still be alive if he hadn’t messed with her. Vivi refuses to believe this and demands that Crocodile tell her where Luffy is.

Meanwhile, the battle between the rebels and the royal army is still going on. Nami comments that Vivi’s plan to stop the rebel army at the entrance must have failed. She wonders if Vivi and the others are okay with everyone fighting while she runs and hides. She remembers the day she asked Usopp to make her a weapon so she could be strong enough not to endanger others. As a couple of normal people with no special powers, she says that she knows Usopp can empathize with her. Usopp agrees to make her weapon.

Miss Doublefinger finds Nami while she’s hiding and stabs her in the shoulder using her Toge Toge no Mi ability, which allows her to grow spikes on any part of her body. Nami pulls out her Clima-Tact and decides to fight her as she remembers Usopp telling her the properties of her new weapon which has elemental abilities.

He tries his first move, Fine Tempo, which makes the doves appear. She is disappointed because this “attack” is nothing more than a party trick. She remains optimistic and thinks that at least this move caught the enemy off guard. He tries his second move, Cloudy Tempo, which causes flowers to shoot out when pressed. Seeing Nami’s feeble attempts to attack her, Miss Doublefinger takes pity on her but attacks her with her spikes. Nami barely avoids her, but she is determined to fight back. She drops her Clima-Tact, but seeing no threat from Nami’s weapon, Miss Doublefinger returns it to her.

Nami launches her third move, Thunder Tempo, where a boxing glove pops out of the weapon. Miss Doublefinger loses her temper and attacks Nami, which she dodges. She hides and continues to read the Clima-Tact instructions, desperate to find a move that could damage her enemy. On the back of the instructions you will find the battle configuration. She discovers that each of the three batons of her weapon has special properties. The first can create hot air and emit a hot ball. The second can create cold air, emitting a cold orb, and the third can create electricity, emitting a storm orb. He tests it, but Usopp’s instructions state that these features have not been perfected yet, but can be used at parties.

Miss Doublefinger attacks Nami again and she runs away. Nami is stabbed in the calf and she falls. Just as Miss Doublefinger is about to deliver the finishing blow, Nami flicks her Clima-Tact and inadvertently uses Cyclone Tempo, the effect of which is like a boomerang. While studying her weapon, Nami turns her back on her enemy, which offends Miss Doublefinger and prompts her to attack Nami. Nami is seemingly impaled by the attack, but a dove flies to the impaled Nami and reveals that it was just an illusion. Nami explains that she used Mirage Tempo where her Clima-Tact allowed her to create a mirage of herself. Finally, to better understand how the Clima-Tact works, Nami tells Miss Doublefinger that she is now ready to actually fight.

Meanwhile, Crocodile took Cobra and nailed him to the palace walls. Vivi and Chaka are unable to do anything. He tells them that he has no intention of keeping Cobra or Vivi alive and will kill them after he gets what he truly wanted from the very beginning. He then asks Cobra where Pluto is. Cobra is shocked by this question and wants to know how Crocodile knows this name.
