Summary:
The Tsumegeri guards storm the palace to try and rescue Cobra. Cobra orders them not to attack as they will only be throwing away their lives. The guards tell their king that they have sworn to protect him until death. The crocodile, recognizing their reputation, offers to spare their lives if they leave and go home, which they refuse. However, before they can attack, their bodies show signs of change and bruising. Chaka explains that in order to temporarily increase their power, they had to drink Hero Water, which provides incredible power but kills the host and that they are as good as dead. They continue to attack the Crocodile, but he turns to sand and dodges their attack. The crocodile says he won’t bother fighting them because they’ll die anyway. Shortly after, all of the Tsumeger Guards collapse and die. The Crocodile laughs at this, which angers Chak and makes him attack the Crocodile. Chaka unveils his Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Jackal Devil Fruit Power. However, he is unable to land a blow due to Crocodile’s abilities.
Meanwhile, after his fight, Zoro collapses from blood loss. As he lies barely conscious, he wonders how the others are and that they’d rather not be dead. With that he thinks about Usopp. In another part of the city, Sanji, along with Chopper and Usopp, who is being carried by Matsuge, runs towards the palace. Usopp is in tears as he remembers Miss Merry Christmas telling them that Luffy was dead. Chopper tearfully tells him that it may not be true, while Sanji asks them if they really believed it with a smile on his face. They reply that they believe Luffy is still alive.
When he returns to Zoro, he thinks about Nami and wonders if she managed to escape. Nami is then shown somewhere in Alubarna – North Block, unwinding the final attack of her Clima-Tact from Miss Doublefinger’s body. He then continues on his way to the palace.
Zoro then wonders if Vivi is okay. Vivi is then shown calling out Chaka’s name and Chaka lying on the ground, covered in blood. Then a figure approaches Vivi and calls her name.
A cutscene of the Palace Square scene shows that there are 25 minutes left until the time of the explosion that Krokodyl had planned.
The character is revealed to be the Goat, who is in disbelief at what he sees in front of him. He sees the Tsumegeri guards dead on the ground, Chaka bloodied and lifeless, Cobra nailed to the palace walls, and behind it all stands Crocodile, the supposed hero of the land. The crocodile is having fun at the turn of events when the country is in the middle of a war and the leaders of both sides are not on the battlefield but standing at his feet.
Miss All Sunday mocks Koza’s confusion and offers to “help” him understand. She tells him to relax and open his mind and think about the worst possible scenario. Koza realizes that his father was right about Cobra and that he was wrong to doubt him. The Goat demands to know who was responsible for the drought ravaged Arabasta, where the Crocodile replies that over the past two years, every evil thing that the Goat attributed to the Cobra was actually perpetuated by him and his company, Baroque Works. Crocodile continues to taunt Goat, but Cobra snaps his attention and demands that he listen. Cobra asks him to save as many citizens as possible. Chaka tells him about the bomb in the palace square and to hurry up. The crocodile, seeing that Chaka is still alive, proceeds to attack him once more, seemingly killing him.
The goat runs towards the palace square, but Vivi chases it down and pulls it to the ground. She begs him to listen and think about things. He explains that if they tell everyone that the palace square is going to explode, everyone will panic, which will add more chaos to the battle, and that even if they stop the bomb, it won’t actually stop the fighting and people will still die. She tells him that he must stop the rebellion instead and that he is the only one who can do it. Crocodile, hearing their plans, tries to stop them and tries to hit Vivi, but is blocked by Chaka, giving them time to get away.
Vivi reaches the Royal Army and orders them to surrender immediately. The goat then comes out and tells the royal army that they don’t need to fight anymore and that they just want to end the conflict. As the rebel army approaches the palace square, they see the royal army waving white flags of surrender. They also see their leader the Goat waving a white flag. He tells them to calm their anger and lay down their weapons. He announces that the battle is over. However, he is shot several times by what appears to be a Royal Army soldier but is actually a Baroque Works agent who has infiltrated their ranks. Vivi screams in terror.
