Summary:
The Straw Hat Pirates are busy repairing a shipwreck and Zoro is busy chopping down trees with an axe. The goats then pass the chopped wood to each other towards the Chopper. While carrying the chopped wood, Zenny exclaims about the slow work of the Straw Hat crew. To calm him down, Nami makes Zenny sit in a chair and Robin offers a shoulder massage. Sanji asks him why there is a ship on top of the mountain, to which he says that this ship is his coffin. The Straw Hats are stunned and ask him if it is too early for the coffin. He responds by saying that he will eventually need a casket anyway. Sanji asks him why his coffin is a pirate ship and Zenny begins to doze off, but the straw pirates think he’s dead and start screaming, to which Nami warns them to be quiet as he’s just dozing off.
At the naval base, the Marines learn that both the Straw Hats and Zenny are on the same island. Sergeant Minchey has Luffy and Zoro’s bounties in mind and devises a plan to ensure victory.
On the island, Zenny plays chess with Nami and receives everything from massages to delicious cheese. Luffy, Usopp, and Zoro return with the fish they caught for dinner and assure Zenny of any favors she asks for. Zenny exclaims how she lives in paradise. Zoro thinks about it and says that he should have died by now since three days have already passed. The Straw Hats consider leaving the island as Zenny seems to be in better health than when they arrived.
Still losing to Zenny at chess, Nami bets everything, including the ship, in hopes of getting the details of the treasure. As a result, they owe him another 10 years of service to get their ship back. Usopp suggests heading out, but Luffy refuses, saying that the bet is a promise and he won’t break any promises. During all the commotion surrounding the departure, Robin checks Zenny and gets the ship back. Delighted to meet such joyful great-aunts, Zenny decides to throw a party.
At the party, Nami tries to get an old man drunk to learn the true location of the treasure, to whom he jokes about the goats being his true treasure. He later says that he was a moneylender to pirates and was known as Zenny’s moneylender. This revelation came as a surprise to Usopp, as pirates usually do not return the money they take. He talks about how the pirates wouldn’t return the borrowed money, so he always went face to face with them to get his money back.
When Zenny remembered his past, he was on a ship demanding his money back or else he would sink the ship by bombing.
After talking about his past, he talks about his dream of becoming a pirate king and how 20 years ago pirates destroyed his ship and forced him to drift to this island. He thought of building a ship, but he was unable to bring wood to the sea, so he built his ship in the mountains. By the time he finished the ship, he was too old to sail the Grand Line. However, Luffy suggests that no one is too old to be the Pirate King.
The marines are on their way thinking about luring the straw pirates off the island while Zenny thinks about what Luffy told him.
When morning comes, Chopper exclaims that he sees the Marine ship and the Straw Hats begin to run for shore and are confronted by Sergeant Minchey. He says he only came with one ship to check out the island and Zenny and the Straw Pirates should leave immediately as more marines might be coming for them. There is actually a huge naval fleet hiding behind them in the fog to attack the pirates when they leave. The Straw Hats easily see through this trick and prepare to attack, but are stopped when Usopp is captured and asked to drop their weapons. They do as they are told and the marines are now trying to shoot at them and at the same time Zenny unloads her ship from the top of the mountain.
