One Piece Episode 165

Summary:

Shandia’s assault on the Upper Yard had begun. The crew is finally found and everyone talks about what happened. Chopper takes care of Gan Fall and the pirates plan to steal the island’s gold.

Nami, Zoro, and Robin make the huge discovery about Jaya that she did not sink to the bottom of the ocean, but instead rose to the sky along with all the native animals that had adapted to life in the sky. According to Nami, Jaya’s half in the sky is the City of Gold, which Nami thinks is God praising her for being good. Meanwhile, the Shandia begin their invasion of the Upper Yard and confront the priests. Luffy, Sanji and Usopp finally left the Ordeal of Balls and found themselves in a grassy field full of skulls. Usopp assumes the skulls are meant to intimidate anyone who walks by and says it works. Just as Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp were traveling down the Milky Way, they heard explosions and saw several Shandian warriors flying overhead. Wyper looked and fired an iron ball at them, but Luffy deflected it with Gomu Gomu no Fusen, surprising Wyper and the other Shandio. Sanji recognized that Wyper was the guerilla that had attacked them upon their arrival. Wyper says he will kill Enel and them if they get in his way, implying that the guerrillas and Enel are enemies. Angered by Wyper for attacking him, Luffy takes action by challenging him to a fight, but Wyper comments that they might not even make it off the island alive.

Meanwhile, the battle between Shandia and the Upper Yard priests continues. Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp are still making their way to the sacrificial altar through the Milky Way, which looks like a roller coaster ride. Zoro’s party arrived back at the ship and realized that Chopper had been attacked and feared the worst, but Chopper came out crying. Luffy’s group arrives at the end of the Milky Way and there were Sky Sharks ready to be defeated. Luffy took them out with the Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun and found the ship and the rest of the crew.

Believing the ship to be too dangerous to sleep inside, the crew disembarked and went camping for the night. The Straw Hats had a session where they dealt with what had happened. Luffy’s group, Zoro’s group, and Chopper reported on the priests, Mantra, and the City of Gold. Luffy decided that they would take the treasure from the City of Gold.
