Summary:
Luffy, Sanji, Zoro and Chopper follow Usopp’s bloody trail to Franky House where they find him passed out. The four challenge the Franky Family, only to find that their real target, Franky himself, is gone, taking the money with him. Luffy decides to say goodbye to Merry.
The episode opens with a scene where Usopp is standing in the doorway of Franky House demanding money back from the Franky Family. Members of Franky’s house mock him and call him weak, leading him to attempt to attack Franky. Franky dodges and continues to taunt Usopp as Usopp lies on the floor, breathless. After one last kick to the chin, Franky leaves Usopp with the rest of his family, saying he’s going shopping with the straw hat money. However, Usopp fires an exploding star at Franky, which doesn’t touch him at all. As Franky leaves the house, the Franky Family members beat up Usopp.
The scene then cuts to Nami holding a gun and protecting the last case of money on the Going Merry while making sure that “they” (Chopper, Sanji, and Zoro, who are presumably preparing Usopp and heading to Franky House) can and would only a burden if she went with them.
The episode switches to the perspective of Chopper, Sanji, and Zoro, who seem to have gone the wrong way because Usopp isn’t where Nami told them he would be. Chopper then notices a trail of blood, leading them to realize that Usopp may have gone to Franky House alone. Suddenly, Luffy falls from the sky and lands in a canal. After Luffy was rescued, they are assured that Usopp probably went to the house alone.
We then see the government officials who visited Iceburg leaving Iceburg’s office. The group’s chief government official then goes on to talk about how Iceburg might have it, implying that it has something important. From Iceburg’s point of view, Kalif knocks on the door and they talk about the “it” that the government official Corgi was referring to, telling us he has whatever “it” is. On the wall of Iceburg’s office we then see a wanted poster of young Nico Robin.
The perspective then changes to Chopper, Zoro, Luffy and Sanji finding Usopp unconscious outside Franky House. Seeing Usopp like this fueled their anger and they headed to Franky House. The group runs into a bunch of high-net-worth Franky Family members having fun. After seeing one of the members get punched, the others freaked out. However, they regain their confidence, which immediately disappears after Luffy breaks through the steel armor. After the Franky Family members lose, the scene cuts to Franky alone boarding the train, then back to the Straw Hats, who decide to return to the ship instead of chasing Franky. Luffy also decides to say goodbye to Going Merry.
