Summary:
At his base, Franky finally recognizes Spandam’s voice, and Spandam longs to see Franky in Enies Lobby to teach him a lesson. Spandam then slashed at a nearby lamp with his sword, but the candle ended up burning him and he hanged Den Den Mushi. Kaku then has Bluen tie up Franky and Rob Lucci leads the other CP9 agents out. However, before they can go any further, Usopp suddenly speaks up and asks the agents to let Franky go. Lucci simply turns to Usopp with a defiant look and Usopp quickly apologizes to Franky’s disappointment. Kaku then remembers Usopp from the Straw Hat Pirates. Outside the Galley-La Company, boatmen are seen trying to put out the fire. Inside, Paulie and Iceburg are tied up and unconscious, and Chopper is seen grabbing a nearby sword.
At the Sea Train station, two men discuss the departure of the Sea Train before Aqua Laguna hits. One of the men notices that the people boarding the Sea Train are secret agents of the world government. They go on to talk about how they might know secret agents and how rich they are. One of the men says that the agents will soon board the Sea Train and know their true identities. At the Galley-La Company, people are still trying to put out the fire, but to no avail. Suddenly, Chopper rushes out of the building with Iceburg and Paulie on his back and lays them down gently. Chopper then notices an injured Nami and tries to help her, but passes out. The people then try to help Iceburg and Paulie and then agree to help Chopper since he saved Iceburg and Paulie’s lives.
Back at Franky’s base, Kaku has just easily defeated Usopp much to Franky’s disappointment and embarrassment. Kaku then hears that even though Usopp left the Straw Hats, he still lives his life as a pirate. Kaku then says that Usopp must also go to Enies Lobby and orders Kalif to tie him up. Kaku then turns his attention to Going Merry’s annoyance that Usopp hasn’t gotten rid of it yet. Usopp angrily tells Kaku to stay away, but Kaku knocks the Going Merry off its chain into the water. Kaku then says that even though it was a temporary disguise, they are still respected as boatmen and opens the door leading outside. Usopp says it’s his ship and he can do whatever he wants with it, but Kaku pulls the lever, causing the Going Merry to approach the sea. Usopp tries to stop him, but Kalifa binds him with his thorn rose, and the Going Merry now crashes into the sea, badly damaged. Usopp cries out Merry’s name in tears.
At the Galley-La Company, people continue to try to put out the fire, with the building itself starting to fall apart. Suddenly, Iceburg begins to wake up to the shock and excitement of the people. The people then notice that Nami is also starting to wake up, but are confused as to what to do with her. Iceburg is now seen standing and asking the other people that he needs to talk to Nami alone. Iceburg and Nami are now seen sitting alone as the other people wonder what they could be talking about. However, they continue to focus on putting out the fire as the second foreman is still trapped inside. Iceburg then apologizes to Nami for falsely accusing her and the rest of the Straw Hats and promises to make things right. However, Iceburg wants to talk about Nico Robin and asks Nami that when they first came to Water 7, Robin started acting strange. Nami agrees that Robin went into town and never came back, and that she was the prime suspect in Iceburg’s attempted murder the next morning. He goes on to say that as soon as Sanji and Chopper saw her, Robin said it was goodbye and she wasn’t coming back to the crew. Nami then says that she and the others broke into his mansion hoping to find out the truth, and remembers that Robin said she did it to get her wish. Nami then wonders what wish would make Robin give up her friends and Iceburg says she might know the answer. Iceburg says it could have happened once Robin got separated from the rest of the crew and says there’s a good reason she did what she did. Iceburg then tells Nami that he and Robin plan to revive an ancient weapon that has the means to destroy the world much to Nami’s shock.
In a flashback, Iceburg, still depressed, has just told Robin that the plans the other CP9 agents just found are fake, and says he’d rather die than hand over the real plans. Iceburg says that if Robin is still looking for the Poneglyphs, then he has to do whatever it takes to stop her. Robin says that she is only studying the Poneglyphs to learn more about the history of the world, and is not interested in the ancient weapon. Iceburg yells at Robin to take responsibility, briefly recalling how he told Franky eight years ago that weapons are made to hurt people. Iceburg then says that if Robin is still doing this, it’s better if he dies right then and there, and mentions the Hound. Robin angrily replies to Iceburg that she doesn’t know anything about Ohara, and goes on to say that she doesn’t know how the World Government has twisted her life. Iceburg wonders if Robin hates the World Government so much then why is he helping them. Robin says it’s to grant her wish and releases Iceburg. Robin then tells Iceburg that once she came to Water 7, CP9 presented her with two conditions: The first was to pin his assassination on the Straw Hats and abandon their crew, and the second to turn herself in to the World Government and follow their every word. Iceburg tells Robin that the World Government won’t let her live and wonders why she’s helping them now when she’s been on the run for over twenty years. Robin then says that the World Government gave CP9 permission to activate the Buster Call against the Straw Hats. Iceburg is confused by the term Buster Call, and Robin explains that it is an emergency action that will summon five vice admirals and ten battleships to the same location. He says that no matter how strong you are, no one is able to survive the Buster Call and says that Admiral Aokiji gave CP9 the right to make the call. She says that as soon as she heard his name, she gave up, saying that if she didn’t, she and the rest of the Straw Hats would be destroyed. Robin says she can’t turn her back on the Straw Hats when they help her, which is why she didn’t run. Iceburg then wonders what Robin’s wish is, and Robins says that if we take her out, the rest of the Straw Hats will be able to leave safely. Iceburg says that as long as she has it, she doesn’t care what happens to the rest of the world, and Robin confirms it. Iceburg then picks up a nearby pistol and prepares to fire.
The flashback ends with Iceburg telling Nami that he can’t pull the trigger, that he can’t criticize her. Nami suddenly falls to the ground and tells Iceburg that she’s glad Robin didn’t betray them. Nami is eager to break the news to the rest of the Straw Hats saying that Robin needs saving, she and the rest of the crew will not give up. To the horror of the other people, Nami tries to roughly wake Chopper up. Meanwhile, Robin is seen at the train station and the agent is eager to see how Robin has finally turned herself in. Sanji is seen not too far away and is finally able to find Robin again.
