Summary:
Franky helped Robin escape from their chains and they made it outside to see Luffy. Luffy wants to come save Robin, but she tells him to stay, that she just wanted to die. Below, as Yokozuna fell, the giants took cover. All the Straw Hats arrived on the roof and asked Robin to come back.
Spandam is getting an update from the Marines. They managed to find Luffy at the courthouse. This confuses Spandam because he knows Blueno was up there as well. He looks out the window again and sees Luffy recovering by eating the meat he had in his pockets. He then sees Blueno standing still nearby. Spandam can only draw one sick conclusion from this. Luffy defeated Bluen, a member of CP9, one of the world government’s more ruthless organizations. Such a feat should be unthinkable, but Luffy’s defiant call for Nico Robin leaves no doubt who won the fight. He immediately calls Rob Lucci and the rest of CP9. He also orders Baskerville to guard the drawbridge to the Tower of Justice at all costs. Franky doesn’t understand why Robin refuses to save himself even after Spandam broke his promise. Franky begins to suspect that Robin is running from something else. As Luffy screamed in the background, Franky decided to get Robin to face him. Spandam returns and orders Robin and Franky to be taken to the Gate of Justice immediately. However, he is shocked to find that Frankly has used the rest of his wheel power to inflate his rear end in what he claims is a self-destruct mode. They all run for cover, and Franky uses the commotion to release the pressure in his Coup de Boo: a giant flatus that blasts himself and Robin outside onto the balcony, getting in front of Luffy’s eyes, breaking his chains in the process. Fortunately, a guard fence prevents them from flying into the chasm in front of the tower. Luffy wanted to slingshot himself over the waterfall to save Robin, but she told him to stay and that she just wanted to die. The rest of CP9 then join Spandam to recapture Robin and Franky.
Outside the courthouse, Yokozuna maintains a brave stance, but now faces the jurors. The judges also block the path of Mozu and Kiwi’s teams and the rest of the Straw Hats. Zambai is surprised that there is a real court instead of an empty hall. Baskerville reveals that the truth lies somewhere in between. He holds a trial, but all the jurors are pirates condemned to death; therefore, their only pleasure is to take as many other pirates with them as possible, so all they say is: “Guilty!”. The fight is getting tough; even Yokozuna falls from the constant onslaught of the judges’ giant iron balls. Meanwhile, the Marines regroup behind bulletproof shields and prepare to storm the courthouse. But then they are stopped by Oimo and Kashii, who still have beef with the marines who wasted 50 years lying to them. Lost as usual, Zoro decides to take a shortcut by blasting Tatsu Maki’s ceiling. This removes the jurors blocking Nami and Chopper, but catches them as well. As Luffy and CP9 stare at each other across the chasm, Luffy states that he will save Robin anyway. Only when she is safe can she decide her own fate. The rest of the Straw Hats end up joining Luffy on the roof (Nami and Chopper busted through the ceiling, Zoro climbs them, Sanji kicks his own hole, and finally Sogekinga gets kicked out by Kashia). Luffy again states that if Robin wants to leave or die, he can only do so when he is back by their side.
The Straw Hats have gathered, each standing on one of the battlements of the courthouse. On the other side of the falls is the Tower of Justice: their goal and their enemy staring back at them. Tears well up in Robin’s eyes as Luffy declares, “Leave the rest to us!”
