Summary:
With Moria’s guidance, Oar is better able to counter the Straw Hats’ strategies and turn their attacks against them. Franky falls unconscious after a failed attempt to fire himself at the oars from a giant slingshot known as the Kuwagata and shoot him at close range with the weapon on the left. Nami arrives and joins the battle, but Oars demonstrates that he can somehow stretch his limbs, leading the crew to realize that it is Moria. Elsewhere, Luffy encounters the Rolling Pirates, whose shadows were stolen by Moria. They plant shadows in Luffy to multiply his fighting power and give him new skills to defeat Moria.
Brook laughs proudly and seems well enough to fight Oars and Moria. In the process of getting the salt, he also drank some milk to heal himself. With a grain of salt, Sanji knows they only have one shot to clear the oars and defeat Moria before sunrise. Moria then dares her enemies to try to reclaim the shadows. Brook prepares to join but feels stiff.
Usopp fires the Oil Star and the massive Firebird Star to ignite the Oars. Moria tells his giant minion to put out the fire because he can’t smell it. Zoro and Chopper work together, with the swordsman leaping from the reindeer and using the Great Buddha Slayer to smash part of the tower. Sanji uses the Jenga Cannon to kick the tower pieces onto the oars, six times. But the oars repel the tower figures, and Robin uses Veinte Fleurs to blow her friends out of range, and Franky shoots debris.
Usopp then has some difficulty spotting the shot from Kuwagata and Franky poses in front of the sniper. He then fires Franky via Iron Man Comet at a giant zombie, then the cyborg fires an anti-monster cannon at Moria, but Oars dodges and lands a heavy blow. Moria orders his minion to deliver the finishing blow with a stomp. Just then, Nami prepares Thunderbolt Tempo and gives Oars a good shake. This will make the large zombie drop to its knees. Outside, the zombie soldiers are in shock.
Sanji begins to feel love for Nami’s heroics, but Nami warns that doing so would betray her to the Oars. Zombie prepares the Gum-Gum Pistol and knocks Nami off the tower. The navigator hangs from Robin’s several arms and is pulled to her side. With his newfound paddle power, he uses the Gum-Gum Whip.
Elsewhere, Luffy races back to the mansion and is tripped by a pirate. The pirates who make contact with Luffy are the Risky Brothers, members of the Rolling Pirates. They hope to get Luffy back in time so they can grant him special powers to finally achieve victory. After that, a marriage proposal from pink haired Lola appears and asks Luffy for her hand in marriage, but is rejected. That’s how long the Rolling Pirates were in misery without a shadow for three years.
Lola then orders the Risky Brothers to bring in some shadows. He forces a shadow into Luffy who feels convulsions. They also give him a sword, which the Straw Hat captain uses with great precision. The Rolling Pirates plan to use Moria’s own powers against him. It will only take ten minutes to turn on the shade. When the fog is clear, it’s only 20 minutes before daylight begins. Then more shadows are forced into Luffy.
Luffy’s skin turns pale blue and gets stronger by the second. With a more massive sword, Luffy takes it as well and demands a fight. Nightmare Luffy then heads off in the wrong direction.
