Summary:
Luffy and the other prisoners approach the surface, having passed levels 3 and 2. However, to stop Magellan, who is quickly catching up, both Ivankov and Inazuma stay behind. Inazuma knocks down the stairs from levels 3 to 2 and Ivankov is left to fight Magellan with his “Newkama Kenpo”. Despite his best efforts, he is eventually defeated by Magellan, and later Magellan manages to reach Level 2 and poison Inazuma as well. Meanwhile, Luffy encounters Buggy, Galdin, and the other troublemakers and easily defeats the dungeon beasts again (who used the elevator to reach level 1), only to be confronted by a furious Magellan, who finally catches up and puts an end to the potential escape.
The prisoners race through the 3rd level just as Magellan’s Hydra catches up with some poisoned ones. Bentham advises not to look back. Magellan walks through, enraged and covered in poison. The prisoners climb the stairs to Level 2. After the prisoners make it, Ivankov mourns those who failed. Inazuma and Ivankov are ready and the former uses the Great Scissors to cut through the staircase to buy time to escape. With the staircase cut to pieces, Magellan would appear to have no access to the second floor.
Magellan roars his Hydra at Ivankov, declaring his methods suicidal. Believing the Warden to be slow, the “Queen” transforms into her male form and calls him stupid before firing a Death Wink. He dissolves the dragon head, but another Hydra head emerges from the warden’s back and a third appears. Magellan rejoices that even if Luffy has time, there is no way out. Ivankov then decides to show some New Kama Kempo and fires some energy balls and then forces the caretaker to fight.
At level 2, the Wild Beasts will start taking down several prisoners. Luffy seems worried that Magellan would strangely not follow him, but Bentham explains that Ivankov is staying behind to hold off the guards. Luffy wants to go back, but Bentham insists that he must continue. Crocodile and Jinbe believe that it might be too easy to get out because someone is freeing them. Buggy frees several prisoners while Galdino hands over weapons to the prisoners. They take out several guards with Buggy determined to get to the top level.
Soon, Buggy’s party reaches level 1. Luffy’s party continues to rise while reaching level 2. At level 3, Ivankov bravely fights against Magellan. Sadi feels an intense pain in her spine and curses Ivankov’s actions demanding revenge. He orders the downed demon guardians to chase after him. Shiryu cuts off the communication so no one will know about the events that are happening.
With Impel Down surrounded by prison and naval ships, Jinbe hopes to hijack one so they can get to Marineford before Ace’s death sentence.
Meanwhile, Ivankov feels saddened by the poison that just touched his face and complains about how much it hurts, but this was all a ruse as Ivankov’s thick mascara protected his face from the poison. He dodges another venom attack and blinks at Magellan’s Hydra over and over, with the warden shooting the Venom Blowfish. Ivankov complains that his shoelaces are coming loose, but again tricks the guards because his shoes are without laces. Magellan angrily decides to end the fight immediately as Ivankov uses his fist to remove the hair.
Upstairs, Inazuma spots Magellan using Venom Road to reach level 2 and defeat Ivankov. Sensing desperation, Inazuma does a Keep Out, sending pieces of the floor at Magellan, but he blocks them.
Buggy and his group are on the run from the demon guards. Then he bumps into a big man and falls. Galdino makes sure he’s okay while Buggy gets angry at the person he bumped into and looks up to be surprised that it’s Crocodile. The crocodile rudely asks how Galdino got here, which makes him cry. At that moment, it is stated that Jinbe and Luffy defeated the demon guardian. This surprises Buggy and Galdin even more. When Luffy turns to see the two, he is happy that they are safe. More prisoners escape and Buggy is horrified by the news that they are perverts. Bentham later rushes in and kicks Galdin and Buggy for calling them perverts and abandoning them. Then the level 4 prisoners arrive with guards surprised and horrified.
At that moment, Magellan deploys the Hydra, which scares the prisoners. Luffy fears the worst for Inazuma and Ivankov.
