Summary:
The episode begins with Ace, Luffy, and Sabo’s base being hit by a windstorm. Luffy had a responsibility to make sure their pirate flag was “uncool” so they would lose their flag. A huge gust of wind comes and blows Luffy away, Ace and Sabo laugh at Luffy. The three brothers go to the Gray Terminal in search of materials to rebuild their shelter destroyed by the storm. Luffy wants the binoculars, but Ace tells him they won’t find anything useful there. On their way to the Gray Terminal, they are watched by people hiding behind trees.
While looking for parts, Sabo finds the binoculars, but realizes he is surrounded by Bluejam Pirates. Bluejam states that he did not know that one of the “three infamous brats” was Noble. The Bluejam pirates attempt to capture Sab, but he puts up a fight when Ace and Luffy appear in the barrel. The three had a good fight until Bluejam pulled out a gun. While unprepared, the Bluejam Pirates grab all three brothers. Outlook III then appeared and Sabo wondered why he was so desperate to get it back by hiring the Pirates to retrieve it. Sabo’s Father gets upset that the pirates targeted Ace because he got the blood of his “nasty children” through him. Sabo was afraid that the Bluejam Pirates would kill Ace and Luffy, so he agreed to obey his father since they were his brothers. Sabo starts crying because it’s the end of his dreams, he drops the binoculars that Luffy wanted and breaks it. Ace and Luffy were taken back to Bluejam’s hideout where he untied them and offered them a job in his pirate crew, Ace and Luffy agree. Their task with the other pirates was to take some barrels to certain places. Luffy doesn’t like the idea of Sabo being gone, but Ace says they don’t know what’s best for Sabo, so they’ll see what goes. Sabo is being investigated by a person to see if he was a criminal. Sabo said that Ace and Luffy had nothing to do with his judgment. Sabo’s father threatens Sabo with what will happen to his two brothers if he disobeys, but Sabo claims that they committed these crimes of their own free will, angering his father, he kicks the chair and Sabo falls. Sabo’s father eventually bribes the investigator to say that nothing happened so as not to ruin the family’s reputation. Sabo is taken home where he meets his new brother Sterry. Sterry was adopted by Sabo’s family because he had a lot of promise. If Sabo was not the successor, Sterry would replace him.
Sabo was in his room when Sterry came in and told Sabo that he had “devil’s luck”. Sterry tells Sabo that if he stayed in the Gray Terminal, he would die. Sabo grabs Sterry by the shirt and demands that he tell him everything. Sterry tells Sabo that only if there is a fire in Gray Terminal, “then this country will be clean”. Realizing this, Sabo runs out of his house and escapes. Sabo overhears his father’s men saying that the Bluejam Pirates are going to burn down the Gray Terminal.
Back at the three brothers’ hideout, Luffy is missing Sabo. Ace reminds him that they agreed to let Sabo go, but Luffy still has dreams about Sabo (and the telescope).
Sabo waited until the next morning to see people’s reactions to the fire that day, whether the fire was real or not. Sabo notices that everyone is so calm and thought everything should be fine. Sabo’s father says it’s a great windy day… for the fire, then he finds that Sabo isn’t in the house studying, so he orders his men to look for Sabo. Sabo goes to several people if the Gray Terminal is going to be on fire and everyone knows it. The townspeople are silent on the subject because they don’t want outsiders to learn about it, which shocks Sabo and makes him wonder if anyone cares. Ace and Luffy are seen with Bluejam and Bluejam tells them that they have a big task tonight regarding their barrel work. Sabo finally realizes why his father hired pirates to search for him, save him from the fire, and maintain his position. Sabo starts running to the Gray Terminal to tell Ace and Luffy, but is seen by Sabo’s father’s men. The episode ends with Sabo saying “Run! Ace! Luffy!”.
