One Piece Episode 519

Summary:

Robin visits the Thousand Sunny and meets Franky there. Chopper goes to the fake Straw Hat Pirates, mistaking them for his own crew, but is outraged and shocked to see how cruel they are; this will make him run away. However, he eventually meets the real Nami and Usopp and realizes that the people he met earlier were frauds. Meanwhile, new recruits for the Fake Straw Hats meet the crew, one of whom is the ‘Wet-Haired’ Caribou.

Robin arrives at Grove 17 to find a fully furred Sunny as well as Franky showing off his body modifications and informing her of the whereabouts of the other straw pirates. Robin asks Franky about the flyer for Brook’s concert, to which he replies that Brook has become a star and may have given up piracy. Brook is briefly shown still playing Bone To Be Wild at the Sabao Dome. Meanwhile, Fake Zoro, Fake Sanji, and the real Chopper arrive at Grove 47 and find the other members of the Fake Straw Hat Crew recovering from the Haki blast they received from Luffy.

Chopper is excited to see his “comrades” again, who are slightly ecstatic about Sogeking. The Fake Straw Hats ignore him and Fake Luffy wonders what trick it was to knock them unconscious. Fake Zoro in turn informs him about Cocoa’s kidnapping. Fake Luffy is shocked at first, then tells the others to leave her alone, declaring that it is her destiny to look like the real Robin. Chopper is outraged by his words of indifference to “Robin”, but Fake Luffy ignores him and only asks Fake Zoro and Fake Sanji what the deal is with the “stuffed animal”. He orders them to gather the pirates they recruited earlier in Grove 46 to find a man with a long nose (Usopp), a woman with long hair (Nami), and a boy with a hood and a big backpack (Luffy) and take revenge on them.

Chopper is once again outraged at how everyone sees this as more important than saving “Robin”. Crying how disappointed he is by everyone, he runs off to save her himself. The altercation is observed by two marines, one of whom recognizes Chopper and claims that despite the radical change in appearance, only the Straw Hat Pirates have such a strange pet. So they inform the naval base that the Straw Hats are alive. The Marines prepare to arrest the pirates gathered in Grove 46. Sentomaru appears, accompanied by two units of Pacifists, and declares that he will go after the Straw Hats. When asked if it is really necessary to deploy two Pacifists, he states that the Straw Pirates are not to be underestimated and that he knew from Kuma that they would reunite. Meanwhile, Sanji and Zoro are on their way back to the Thousand Sunny while they argue as usual and Nami and Usopp are out shopping.

The latter finally meets a rather distressed Chopper, who wonders why his friends have become so cold-blooded and what he’s been training for the past two years. Chopper is happy to see Usopp and is somewhat confused by Nami, who looks different than the Nami he saw earlier. He then remembers Robin and tells his friends to hurry and save her, but Usopp and Nami inform him that the people he met before were imposters, much to his surprise. Initially annoyed, he says that being impersonated by someone is like being famous, to which Nami adds that they are famous in a bad way. Meanwhile, the Fake Straw Hat Pirates realize who Chopper is, and Fake Zoro and Fake Sanji are ordered to find him. They happen to meet the real Luffy, who, like Chopper, mistakes them for the originals, who are once again arguing elsewhere. Eventually, the pirates recruited by the Fake Straw Hat Pirates meet at Grove 46. They are tracked by marines and several new villains are introduced. One of them, “Wet-Haired” Caribou, looks suspiciously towards the hidden Marine and the episode ends.
