Summary:
Robin continues his quest as the New Fish-Man Pirates begin to take control. People are also seen being forced to step on the photo and are considered enemies if they don’t. On the other hand, Jinbe and Nami are having a serious conversation about Arlong. Nami then has flashbacks of her past and how Arlong messed up her life. Afterwards, Hatchi explained to Nami how when they were children, they dreamed of a land where humans lived, but were rejected in return. Jinbe talks about how the relationship between fish people and humans has remained the same, even over 200 years, and the two people who rose to power to change history were Queen Otohime and Fisher Tiger. But what was the hidden anxiety for them?
Robin is seen walking through the Sea Forest and eventually finds what she was looking for. Meanwhile, Neptune’s army flees the palace and the ministers lament how things turned out. The minister of the right tells the soldiers to search for the prince and then they will return to reclaim the palace. While this is happening, the New Fish-Man Pirates force the citizens of Fish-Man Island to step on the Fumi-e of Otohime as loyalty. As Dosun forces the citizens to do this, Fukaboshi arrives and punches him in the face in anger for forcing the citizens to step on his late mother’s Fumi-e face.
At the cemetery, Jinbe assures Shirahoshi that her father will be saved. Sanji serves the girls tea and Nami tells him to sit down as she tries to have a conversation with Jinbe and wants to know if he really sent Arlong to East Blue. Sanji also wants to know because he remembers Jinbe’s name from what Yosaku mentioned two years ago and from reading the newspaper Luffy worked with Jinbe. He goes on to narrate how difficult Nami has been with Arlong for eight long years, and claims that what he says next will decide whether or not she forgives him. Jinbe is shocked to hear this and Hachi claims it’s all true while Nami reminisces about her time with Arlong’s gang. Nami states that no matter what he did, she will never forgive Arlong for what he did, noting that two years ago on Sabaody, she never imagined that the Fish-Men would ever be captured, noting that Sabaody Park was by design identical to Arlong Park. Hachi states that Arlong has always hated humans, but as a child, along with Hachi and the others, he longed to be a part of the human world. He states that 200 years ago the World Government made a truce with the Fish Men and the King was later allowed to attend the King’s Council. However, humanity still hated fish men.
Den talks about how the Great Pirate Era caused a lot of trouble on the island and Jinbe says how it ended thanks to the late Whitebeard. Jinbe talks about how those in government with power are the worst at discrimination, such as the World Nobles. He states that two people on the island tried to make a difference for the Fishman: the slave hero Fisher Tiger and the late Queen Otohime. While Luffy can’t quite remember Tiger from his conversation with Hancock, Jinbe says that it was because of these two that changed the island’s history.
