Summary:
King Neptune talks about ancient weapons and Shirahoshi with Nico Robin while Caribou listens and heads to Shirahoshi’s room.
Meanwhile, Luffy regroups with the rest of the crew away from the party after Jinbe insists on talking to him, explaining that Akainu was fighting against Aoki for the title of fleet admiral on a certain island. Akainu won the title and Aokiji left because he didn’t want to work under Akainu. He then explains two changes that occurred in the New World after two years: Akainu became Admiral of the Fleet and Marshall D. Teach took all of Whitebeard’s territories and claimed the title of Emperor alongside Shanks, Charlotte Linlin, and Kaidou. Jinbe also tells of a rumor that Blackbeard is looking for the most powerful Devil Fruits so that he can gain their powers and obtain them for his own use. Ignoring Jinbe’s announcement, Luffy instead asks Camie where Shirahoshi is, to which she replies that she is in her room.
Sensing a “large beast” in the palace, Luffy calls Zoro and Sanji to come with him and they find Caribou using his Logie powers to capture Shirahoshi. Luffy kicks him out and the Minister of Right thanks him once more. The Minister of the Right wonders why the tower was cut to pieces and Pappag says that Zoro did it and Zoro gets angry.
Meanwhile, in Hody Jones’ cell, Hody and his gang seem to have aged on energy steroids and are still out to get revenge on the royal family and the people. The Minister of the Left receives word that Baron Tamago and Pekoms, crew members of the Big Mom Pirates, are on Fish-Man Island. The minister of the left says that Big Momma will destroy the island if they don’t give her candy.
Robin and Neptune continue their conversation and Robin mentions that there are three ancient weapons: Pluton, Uranus, and Poseidon. Neptune then warns her not to tell anyone about Shirahoshi for fear of being hunted down by the government and pirates. However, Caribou eavesdrops on their conversation and goes to kidnap Shirahoshi. Meanwhile, Jinbe tells Luffy and the straw pirates about the major events that happened during the timeskip. The first is Aokiji and Akainu’s duel to become the new fleet admiral, which Akainu won after ten days of fighting. As a result, Aokiji left the Marine Corps. The other is Blackbeard, who conquered all of the Whitebeard Pirates’ territory and claimed the Emperor’s seat in the process, where he also began hunting Devil Fruit users to gain their powers. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji then leave the conversation to check on Shirahoshi.
The trio find Caribou in the process of kidnapping Shirahoshi and Luffy kicks him out of the tower. After hearing from Neptune that the Caribou stole the treasure, he tells Nami that he will give it to them as a reward for saving their country if they can get it back. After Nami finds out that Luffy kicked Caribou out of the tower, she sends Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji after him so she can have the treasure.
Neptun is then told by one of his soldiers that something has happened to Hody and his crew. When he gets to their prison cell, he discovers that Hody Jones and the New Fish-Man Pirates have gotten very old and plan to get revenge on the Straw Hats. The Minister of the Right deduces that the cause is energy steroids that came from inside Tamatebaka (Fish-Man Island’s national treasure), and Hody confesses to stealing them. Neptune then tells them to forget their intention of taking revenge on the humans considering the state they are in and says he will have to reconsider their punishment.
Meanwhile, a soldier comes to the Minister of the Left to report that two of Big Mom’s men have come to the island to collect her monthly candy payment. Unfortunately, since the candy factory was destroyed by the New Fish-Man Pirates and the remaining candy was sent to the party, there isn’t enough candy for Big Mom this month. The left-wing minister then fears Big Mom’s reaction that she is “a monster who would destroy the country because of sweets”.
