Summary:
Caesar Clown and the children are seen exiting a flying gas balloon, startling the surrounding marines and asking what kind of ship it is. Caesar enters the research lab through the upper entrance and reminds the kids that the lab is their home and their candy is in the cookie room. He then orders his subordinates to lock the door and make sure they don’t escape again. As all the kids eagerly rush in, Mocha, who starts to resist the addictive drug after entering the room, recalls her horrifying memories of the lab. Some of the satyrs try to calm her down, but eventually realize that Nami and Usopp were trying to save the children from Caesar. Realizing what exactly is going on, she starts trying to escape again, yelling for Nami and Usopp to help her.
Far in the distance, in the straw pirates’ makeshift hideout, Nami finally regains consciousness and marvels at how strong Sanji’s body is and how it allowed her to survive Caesar’s attack. Noticing Usopp starting to wake up nearby, she moves to help him. Mistaking her for the real Sanji, Usopp lets slip his disappointment that she is actually Nami, causing her to be rather harsh.
Back at the lab, Caesar meets Monet and Vergo, the latter talking about how they just had coffee with some cookies, only to quickly remember that there were no cookies. The mad scientist asks Caesar when he will start the experiment and asks Monet to gather some pictures and tells Verga to do a better job of keeping the marines at bay, admitting that the arrival of Smoker and his men caused him. to be nervous.
Moving to the cage, Caesar reveals that he knows all of Law’s plans due to Monet’s tracking of Law with her powers, and thanks Law for naively giving him his heart in exchange for Monet’s heart as part of their deal. Vergo squeezes Law’s heart, causing Law to scream and throw himself around in his restraints. Responding to Caesar’s condescending mirth by insulting his intellectual abilities, Caesar becomes enraged and grabs Law’s heart (which was urged by Vergo) and slams into it, causing Shichibukai pain. Law screams and throws himself around some more before laying on the floor, panting heavily as he passes out. Amazed and shocked at how someone could still survive even with his heart no longer in his body, Luffy is interrupted by Smoker who states that being destroyed by his own power is foolish and demands to know where his heart is currently being held. Caesar held it out in front of him and taunted him mischievously about it.
Caesar takes a call from his subordinates and then proceeds to broadcast to the brokers via Den Den Mushi, explaining the nature of his pet/weapon Smiley and the history of the island. He pinpoints the weapon’s only flaw from four years ago and explains that he has since removed said flaw, and by feeding Smiley a special bait he prepared, the poisonous axolotl became an enhanced weapon called the Shinokuni; is an even more powerful poison gas weapon than before.
Outside in the winter area, Smiley is shown still stalking Sanji, Zoro, Brook, and Kin’emon, who marvel at his ever-increasing size. In the distance they notice a giant candy with a large screen and something underneath. Dragging candy across the plains, several of Caesar’s underlings and Vegapunk’s dragon then ask Caesar to run before Smiley catches up with them. Realizing that their sled was no longer usable, the men quickly fled with the Straw Hats and Kin’emon trailing close behind as the dragon broke free. When Smiley reached the candy, he paused briefly after seeing Caesar on the display. Attempting to demonstrate his taming of the monster, Caesar begins to issue orders to the slime, but is ignored. Smiley then eats a large piece of candy.
