Summary:
Zoro carries Tashigi away from the poison gas. Sanji and the G-5 Marines continue to help Chopper vaccinate the children. Usopp finds a door that leads to a room where Caesar Clown and his underlings are watching the Straw Hats and Marines on screen. Caesar notices Brownbeard on the screen and confronts him. Brownbeard tells Caesar that he wants to get his crew back, but Caesar tells him that they were all killed by poison gas. Brownbeard tries to warn Caesar’s subordinates, but Caesar drugs him into silence. Caesar orders his subordinates to get rid of Brownbeard and they shoot him. Luffy arrives just in time and punches Caesar before asking him about the island. Caesar tells him that Punk Hazard shouldn’t exist and no one should know what’s going on on that island. Vergo covers up all information about this island and everything that happens there – SAD production is controlled by Donquixote Doflamingo and SAD produces SMILE, an artificial Zoan Devil Fruit. One of the four emperors, Kaidou, creates an army of people who ate these artificial fruits. Caesar challenges Luffy to dare to fight such people, only for Luffy to punch Caesar and tell him that he’s been picking fights all along.
When Zoro runs into a corridor that is being filled with Shinokuni, Tashigi tells him that he took a wrong turn and decides to go back. Sanji, Robin, Nami, and the G-5 marines calm down the restraining children while Chopper tries to analyze Mocha’s condition. Kin’emon is seen casually running while Brook tries to reason with him, and if he continues running in that direction, he will step on the gas. Brownbeard is seen walking up the stairs, unable to find his crew in their cabins. As he heads to Building R, Room R-66. Usopp leaves the mysterious room and finds the door to Caesar’s secret lab. He hears something behind the door but is unable to open it.
Brownbeard later arrives on the first floor of Building R. As Caesar watches him on a monitor, Brownbeard is about to reveal Caesar’s true colors to the Punk Hazard soldiers. Before he can speak, Caesar and his subordinates go down to the first floor to meet him. Seeing Caesar, Brownbeard asks him to tell him what happened to his men out on the island before Shinokuni was released. Caesar just shrugged and said he didn’t take their distress call when in fact he did, they left them to die outside. Enraged by his callous disregard for his men’s lives, Brownbeard tried to reveal Caesar’s true nature to the other men who were protecting their “generous” master, but Caesar managed to inject Brownbeard with a muscle relaxant so he spouted gibberish and was unable to stand. Now that Caesar had the situation under control, he whispered to Brownbeard that the poison gas incident was his fault. Brownbeard then furiously tried to attack Caesar, only to be shot down by the underlings he had sworn to save. Feeling victorious, Caesar prepares to finish off Brownbeard when Luffy knocks him down with a giant Haki-infused fist.
As Luffy prepares for the third confrontation, Caesar taunts him and tells Luffy that if he attacks him, he will be in danger from both Doflamingo and the Emperor. Luffy then punches Caesar in the face and says that he has been dealing with people like that since he joined the Grand Line.
