Summary:
At the Corrida Colosseum, the battle for Block D continues as Cavendish fights and defeats Gardo. Several notable gladiators are introduced as Rebecca battles her opponents.
In Green Bit, Doflamingo confirms his status as a former World Noble. Law manages to escape Fujitor’s gravity and escapes with Caesar to send him to the Straw Hats’ ship before stopping Doflamingo on the bridge to Dressrosa. However, Doflamingo sees through his plan and attacks the ship, only to be stopped at the last minute by Sanji.
On the ship, the Straw Hats and Momonosuke aboard the restored Thousand Sunny finished beating Giolla and headed to the Green Bit. They discuss Doflamingo leaving the Shichibukai, which makes Giolla laugh and exclaim that her captain would never do such a thing. This angers Nami and strikes Giolla again with lightning.
In the Corrida Colosseum, Block D continues as Cavendish battles and defeats Gardo. Meanwhile, Mummy, Orlumbus, Cavendish, Meadows, Fighting Lion, Rebecca, Damask, Rolling Logan, Acilia and Suleiman show up as they fight while Rebecca is joined by various other fighters.
The anime adds the following:
After defeating Giolla, Brook joked about the skull as having no muscles.
Cavendish fights an anime-only gladiator named Gardoa.
The anime shows that Fighting Fish is afraid of Doflamingo.
All of the main fighters of Block D (except Meadows) are formally introduced for the first time in this episode, and all of their fighting abilities are shown off.
Unlike the manga, when Doflamingo squeezed the heart in his hand, Caesar overreacted thinking he was going to die.
When Law grabbed Caesar and ran into the manga, Doflamingo just chased after him. In the anime, Doflamingo also tried to attack Law with his strings.
The preview for the next episode is shortened from the usual length.
In the Funimation dub, Law’s full name is erroneously revealed in the narration, several episodes before his intended placement in the story.
At the Green Bit, Doflamingo taunts Law about his past, mentioning how he used to be a world noble, but not anymore. However, Law mentions that it is not necessarily Caesar’s heart that Doflamingo has taken over. Doflamingo coolly clutches his heart and one of Fujitora’s subordinates cries out in pain, angering the Admiral. The sound of thunder attracts Fujitora’s attention, who asks Doflamingo if he can see any clouds above him. Realizing that it’s probably Nami, Law escapes the Admiral’s gravitational forces using the Shambles, switching places with the stone and successfully retrieving the Caesar Clown. The rock he switched places with is crushed by Fujitora’s ability and Law begins to run away with Caesar as Doflamingo gives chase. Law plans to send Caesar to the ship while he tries to lead Doflamingo to the bridge to stop him there and give the others time to escape with Caesar.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Sunny approaches the Green Bit, but is suddenly attacked by the Fighting Fish. The crew begins to panic, drawing Doflamingo’s attention to the approaching ship. Doflamingo heads to the Thousand Sunny and tells Law he’s going to kill them all, when suddenly Sanji comes and confronts Doflamingo.
