Bartolomeo asks Rebecca how much longer she will cry, but Rebecca reveals that she has finally remembered her father, while also recalling several memories of her parents. As Bartolomeo wonders what he’s talking about, Sabo remarks that it must have been a plot to undermine the country, stating that any situation can change if you strike at its core. Deciding to end this fight, Sabo hardens his hands with Busoshoku Haki before driving them into the arena, creating several large cracks that extend to the edges. While Gatz wonders what he’s done, Sabo uses Dragon Claws Fists: Dragon’s Breath, which clears the arena. The rest of the fighters land on chunks of rock in the water as Diamante demands to know what Sabo did, prompting Sabo standing on the pillar in the middle to tell him that he wins.

Meanwhile, Gatz notes that the water seems to be draining away and admits that they can no longer guarantee the audience’s safety before telling everyone to evacuate. Bartolomeo and Rebecca realize that the water must drain into cracks in the base of the ring before it is thrown from their piece of stone when it collides with another. Although Bartolomeo manages to catch another piece of rock, Rebecca wraps her arms around his neck to keep him from falling as well, prompting Bartolomeo to tell her to get off. As Jesus Burgess jumps from rock to rock, declaring that it’s nothing, a large piece of rock hits him in the back of the head and sends him flying into the water.
As the Fighting Fish jumps towards him, Sabo sees the chest strapped to his back and realizes that he has found the one with the Mera Mera no Mi. When Sabo sees another fighting fish jumping out of the water, he jumps onto his back and waits for the two fish to head towards each other. Diamante watches from below and curses Saba, who jumps to his chest. Diamante pulls out his club and declares that Sabo won’t let him, but the rock he’s standing on collapses, causing him to fall into the water and lose his power. As Diamante reveals that they never intended to give anyone the Mera Mera no Mi, Sabo destroys the chest, revealing the fruit before grabbing it and landing on the pillar again. Sabo declares himself the winner and points out how the rules stated that whoever gets the fruit is the winner, prompting Gatz to announce to the fleeing audience that “Lucy” has won.
Sabo takes a bite of the Mera Mera no Mi and says it’s disgusting before noticing Bartolomeo losing his grip on the rock and falling. When Bartolomeo asks for his help, Sabo states that he must help himself because he is a man, before announcing that he will make one more attack. Sabo removes his beard, glasses, and helmet, prompting Diamante to recognize him as a member of the Revolutionary Army. Surprised, Sabo summons fire around his fist and remarks that he can actually create fire when Koala realizes he still has his clothes and jumps into the arena. Sabo declares that he is now on fire before using Hiken, which destroys what’s left of the arena while he blasts through its foundations into the Underground Trade Port.

However, Hajrudin stomps the ground near Trebol, who jumps away before leaning over to the fleeing dwarves, who he asks to borrow Usopp for a moment. Hajrudin picked Usopp up and remarked that he had to fight very hard for them before telling the former toys to look at him.
As Hajrudin states that living with the toys must have been painful for over 10 years, Usopp tries to tell him that he’s hurting him and to not move his body, but Hajrudin hears “You do” instead, pointing out how they would live. as slaves it wasn’t for Usopp. Hajrudin holds Usopp’s hands and declares that this is the hero who broke the spell on them when Usopp tried to tell him to stop moving him.
