Summary:
Kin’emon, Kanjuro, and Bariete end up back in the Thousand Sunny and decide to continue climbing Zou tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Straw Hats reunite with Brooke and Nami tells them how they escaped the Big Mom pirates 11 days ago. A day later, they arrived at Zou and Wanda revealed that they helped save Zou. However, the discussion is interrupted when they discover that Duke Inuarashi has woken up from his coma and Wanda reveals that Inuarashi is one of Zou’s two rulers along with Nekomamushi.
Kin’emon, Kanjuro, and Bariete sit on a deformed Nekozaemon after being swept away by Zou’s eruptive rain; then they are shocked to notice that they have dropped back into the Thousand Sunny. They want to continue, but realize that Nekozaemon is severely deformed and dripping with ink, which scares them. He pushes Nekozaemon up, but after a few steps the greatly weakened feline quickly slides back down, nearly falling into the ocean. Realizing that Nekozaemon is unable to continue, the samurai, seeing that the sun has almost set, decide to return to the Sunny and continue their climb the next morning.
Meanwhile, the Straw Hats are feasting on minks inside Right Belly’s fortress. The Norwegians show affection to all the pirates by rubbing up against them and Zoro is the only one who gets annoyed. Carrot reveals to Usopp that the Norse only eat hairless animals, and when Usopp asks why the Norse welcomed them like this, Carrot reveals that it is because they are friends of their saviors. Just then, Brook runs into the fort wearing very torn clothes. Brook greets his classmates and apologizes to Luffy about Sanji. Usopp asks about Momonosuke, and Brook’s expression changes when he reveals that Momonosuke doesn’t seem to like minks, so he hides in his room. However, Brook thinks it might be for the best and gathers his classmates around him. He tells them to avoid mentioning the words “Samurai” and “Wano Country” as it might offend and anger many of the people here. However, when Brook reveals the reason behind this, a group of canine minks enter the fortress and drool as they stare at Brook obsessively, calling him “Baron Corpse”. The Straw Hats then realize that Wanda was referring to Brook when she told them about their crewmate’s corpse being found, and Wanda reveals that it was their nickname for him because Minks like them loved to chew on bones. As the mink dogs bite and gnaw on Brook, Chopper asks Luffy where Law is, and Luffy tells him that he went to reunite with his crew members in the Whale Forest. Nami then asks what they’re going to do with Sanji, but Luffy and Zoro aren’t particularly interested in him since he left a note and didn’t seem to have been kidnapped. However, Nami and Chopper are still worried about him because his departure didn’t seem right. Franky then interrupts to tell Nami and Chopper that he and the others have no idea what really happened since the Sunny crew left Dressrosa 11 days ago. The others agree and Nami agrees to tell them what happened, starting with the Big Mom pirates chasing them.
11 days ago, the Curly Hat Pirates were shocked to see the Big Mom Pirates’ singing ship chasing them, with Pekoms, Tamago, and Capone Bege taking control of it in an attempt to capture Caesar Clown. Sanji received Luffy’s permission to defend himself and launched a counterattack despite Caesar’s protests. The singing ship fired cannonballs at them and Brook froze them all with Soul Parade. Chopper activated Monster Point and used Caesar as a bag to hold all of the cannonballs and hurled him towards the Big Mom Pirates. Sanji then jumped into the air and kicked Caesar with Devil Jamb, sending flaming cannonballs into the singing ship and causing a massive explosion. Caesar fell to the water, but Sanji grabbed him and returned to Sunny. As the Big Mom Pirates dealt with the sudden chaos, Nami created a storm to create a mist that allowed Sunny to escape.
Back in the present, the Straw Hats applaud the Curly Hats for their maneuvers, and Nami reveals that they arrived in Zou the next day. Robin notes that the first signs of damage in Kurau City were from over two weeks ago, and Wanda reveals that 10 days ago, Zou was mostly destroyed. Wanda is fine with telling the curious Straw Hats what happened and is about to do so, but is suddenly interrupted when a sloth arrives at the fort. The mink reveals that Duke Inuarashi has awoken from his coma, causing the minks to celebrate and Wanda to shed tears of joy. Chopper and the minks Miyagi and Tristan run to Inuarashi’s place to take care of him, and the sloth mink tells Wanda that Inuarashi has requested an audience with the Straw Hats. Luffy asks who Inuarashi is and Wanda reveals that he is the ruler of the Duchy of Mokomo. Ever since the duchy was destroyed along with Nekomamushi, his co-ruler, he fell into a coma. The two ruled the duchy together, with Inuarashi being the ruler of the day and Nekomamushi being the ruler of the night.
