Summary:
Two days ago, Sanji had written a note for his crew members, but when he gave it to Nami, Chopper, and Brook, he took the opportunity to throw them out of Capone Bege’s body. Sanji then held Caesar the Clown at gunpoint, knowing the two were valuable to Big Mom’s pirates and the person planning the wedding, and agreed to go to the wedding peacefully as long as his crew members were safe. Because of this and the arrival of Nekomamushi, Bege was forced to flee Zo with Sanji and Caesar in tow.
Back in the present, after debating what to do about the situation, Luffy decides to find Sanji and ask him about his situation.
Two days ago, after Vito whispered something in Sanji’s ear, a shocked Sanji asked Capone Bege how they knew. Bege calls this a stupid question and tells Sanji that Big Mom has unfathomable power and influence, allowing her to find out and do anything she wants. Sanji took a drag on his cigarette as Nami, Chopper and Brook asked what Vito told him and asked Bege for a pen and paper. Bege obliged and Sanji wrote a note on the paper before handing it to Nami. He told his chained crewmates that he never expected to deal with this part of his legacy and that he had to go figure things out on his own. As his crew members were confused, Sanji asked them if they were ready before ejecting them from Bege’s body.
As Nami, Chopper, and Brook returned to normal size and hit the ground, a horrified Caesar the Clown wondered why Sanji didn’t free him as Sanji began attacking the panicked Fire Tank Pirates. Vito warned his crew members that they could not harm the Straw Hat, and Sanji kicked one pirate into the air. He then grabbed a gun and kicked Caesar’s head on the floor, pointing the gun at the scientist. As Caesar writhes in anger and the Fire Tank Pirates head for it, Sanji yells at them that he knows they can’t touch him as he found out that the person who changed the condition of his reward to “Only Alive” was the same person. arranging a wedding. So the person didn’t want the Fire Tank Pirates to harm him in any way. Sanji agreed to go to the pirate wedding as long as his colleagues were spared, and Bege ordered his men to retreat when he noticed Nekomamushi standing behind his real body.
Bege became nervous when she saw the monstrous mink, and Nekomamushi asked about Pekoms’ body. Bege claimed that the two were crew members and that Pekoms was taken out by the remnants of Jack’s forces. Nami then came in and questioned his story, which Bege denied as she, Chopper, and Brook looked into Bege’s body to see Sanji. Sanji turned to them and promised to be back as Bege closed the openings to his body. The pirate captain then jumped and manifested a tank stomp around his legs, allowing him to accelerate. Nami chased after him but couldn’t catch up and Sanji’s message flew away from Nami and unfolded as he hit the ground. Wanda then arrived to help the Straw Hats, but was stopped by Nekomamushi. Brook realized that Sanji was unlikely to return as the contents of his note had been revealed, stating that he would meet a woman and return. As the Rangers tended to the Straw Hats and removed their chains, Nekomamushi told Wanda to let the Straw Hats keep the details of the incident to themselves because they wanted to. He also had his soldiers carry the injured Pekoms to medical attention before jumping into the silver vine bush.
Back in the present, the Straw Hats process the news and Luffy wonders if Sanji will return with his wife. However, Brook reminds him that the bride is Big Mom’s daughter, which means they will become Big Mom’s subordinates. So it seemed that Sanji went alone to cut himself off from the crew and handle the situation on his own and prevent the Straw Hats from coming under Big Mom’s control. Usopp ponders Vinsmoke’s name and notes that they traveled from North Blue to East Blue and then to the New World, a very significant feat; Robin says she knows the name. Nami apologizes for letting him leave before the rest of the crew got here, and Robin is fine, though Chopper isn’t because he doesn’t know if Sanji will be back. However, Zoro is fine with this as he claims that Sanji has gotten them into more trouble. They were already in conflict with Kaida over crippling his SMILE business and against his crew, and now Sanji was involved with another emperor, Big Mom. Some of the Straw Hats get angry at Zoro, but Luffy intervenes, saying that the only thing they can do now is go to Big Mom’s territory and find Sanji to question his motivations. His crewmates are horrified at the idea of invading the Emperor’s territory, but Brook says that the Big Mom pirates left someone behind who could help them. He then focuses back to the present with the intention of continuing his journey to Nekomamushi.
