Pedro continues his assault through the corridors of Whole Cake Castle, slashing through the guards before they can raise their weapons to defend themselves. His sheer speed blows soldiers away and he uses explosives to take out multiple opponents at once. As his rampage continues, Tamago and Smoothie try to corner him while tracking his location. However, Tamago is surprised that Pedro is trying to steal the Poneglyphs and then realizes that Brook has evaded their safety just like Pedro. Smoothie then returns to the Treasure Room, but Brook is already at the entrance as this is happening. He leads several guards there, and when the others try to close the door and lock him in, he quickly makes his way into the room. The door remains locked as Smoothie enters the room, and since it’s the only way out, he waits for Brook to come out. She originally intended to kill him, but Tamago says to keep him alive because Big Mom will want him for her collection. Inside the room, Brook is confronted by the guards inside and notes that all chess soldiers are made from soul pieces as he pulls out his guitar. However, the soldiers attack him and overpower him before he can hit the right chords on his guitars, and they all converge on him. However, Brook manages to start playing and blows them away with a blast of mental energy, blasting their souls from their bodies as demon souls manifest behind him.
At Brûlée’s house in the Mirror World, Brûlée prepares to dunk Carrot in a pot of boiling water, and her hungry crewmates are eager to finally eat her. However, Chopper reveals that Brûlée has dug her own grave. When he and Carrot were attacked by their mirror clones, Brûlée’s team captured one of Carrot’s mirror copies, which was a frog transformed into her reflection. The real Carrot is in Brûlée’s attic, projecting his voice to make it look like a frog clone is talking. Brûlée then has Randolph cut the rope holding the frog, who they believe is Carrot, over the pot, but as Randolph prepares to do so, Carrot throws a rock at him, knocking him back. Brûlée is surprised by Randolph’s fall and does not see Carrot climbing down to his mirror clone until Diesel points it out. Carrot keeps her duplicate under control as she swings on a rope, and when Randolph tries to cut him again, Carrot falls to the side of the pot and kicks him into Brûlée, knocking him over and dousing her with boiling water. The Big Mom Pirates fall into chaos and Chopper joins the counterattack as he reverts to his normal form to escape his chains and eat the Rumble Ball, allowing him to activate Monster Point.
Meanwhile, after learning about them from the eggplant soldier, Sanji leaves his room to go pick flowers for Pudding to comfort her after their previous emotional encounter. As he does, Luffy continues to resist in his cell in the Prison Library. Suddenly, Pudding arrives and asks Opera if she can talk to Luffy and Nami. She enters their cell thanks to a bookmark and confesses that she failed to save Sanji by leading him to the Straw Hats as they agreed on Cocoa Island. She speaks in a whisper to prevent Opera from hearing her, which confuses him. As Sanji picks flowers for Pudding, she continues talking to Luffy and Nami, who stare at her in shock as she continues.
