Summary:
Hiyori broke up with Zoro and Kawamatsu, and the two later informed Momonosuke and Scatters with him of her survival.
Zoro accepts Enma and sees her destructive power. Luffy continues to train Busoshoku Haki and Zoro with his new sword. Meanwhile, the Ninja-Pirate-Nink-Samurai Alliance is adding more numbers to their cause and finalizing their preparations.
The day before the Fire Festival, Momonosuke and his group of minions march to the meeting place to meet their allies.
Kawamatsu confirms to the Nine Red Sheaths that Hiyori was indeed alive. Afterwards, Tama’s grandfather Tenguyama Hitetsu retrieves the sword that Luffy took from his house. He then pulls out Enma, the sword promised to Hiyori, which is given to Zoro. Zoro tries out his new sword on a tree, but the sword ends up drawing more Ryuo than necessary and creates an overly powerful slash that cuts off a chunk of the cliff. Hitetsu explains that it is considered impossible to control Enma because it always uses an excessive amount of Ryuo holder. Despite this, Zoro is still training with Enma on some bamboo stalks.
Kin’emon then plans a battle. Despite having four thousand men, they are still heavily outnumbered by Orochi and Kaidou’s troops of around thirty thousand.
Luffy still tries to teach Ryuo by pounding on metal sheets, but he still struggles. Chopper decides it’s time to leave, so Luffy rides on Chopper’s back to Kin’emon’s group. Just then, Kin’emon receives a call from the yakuza leaders that they have gathered a total of 400 people to fight in the raid on Onigashi. With one day left in the raid, Kin’emon’s group leaves early for the port.
Straw hats remain at the graves of Yasuie and Pedro. Hitetsu looks amazed that Zoro manages to tame Enma. He reveals that the reason Zoro can use the sword is because Wado Ichimonji and Enma were created by the same person, Shimotsuki Kozaburo. Zoro says he will turn Enma into Black Blade. Back in Udon, Babanuki calls Orochi and lies to him that there was no trouble in Udon and the situation is under control. However, Orochi somehow reveals that he has new information about the meeting location changing and that Hiyori was alive.
Luffy finally overpowers Ryuo by blasting the tree and the curtains close on the second act of the Wano Country Arc.
The ending screen of this episode “To Be Continued” features sakura petals falling in front of the text. This marks the end of the second part of the Wano Country Arc.
The anime adds the following:
Momonosuke imagines Hiyori as an adult kicking him.
After destroying one steel plate in Gear 4, Luffy later trains with multiple steel plates surrounding him.
Another scene of Enma trying to drain Zoro’s Haki during training.
When the alliance gains 4,200 soldiers, Kin’emon and his group are excited. This was not shown in the manga.
Tama gives Momonosuke the kasa hat.
In the post-Udon takeover manga, Kid and Killer don’t appear until the raid begins.
