 Summary:

In the forest near Tokage Harbor, Momonosuke in dragon form carries Kin’emon and Yamato on his back, while Momonosuke is surprised to learn that Yamato has decided not to set sail with the Straw Pirates. Both are confused by this as he stated that his mind is made up, and Yamato explains that he wants to follow in Kozuki Oden’s footsteps and explored all of Wano before he set out to sea, so he intends to start. there too. Momonosuke becomes enraged that he informed the Straw Hats of all this, yet they didn’t bother to say goodbye directly to his face, prompting him to accuse them of insulting him on purpose. He reminisces about his life from when Kaidou destroyed his home to when he met Luffy, all of their interactions, and ends with Luffy declaring that he will stop Kaidou.

Both Momonosuke and Kin’emon angrily agree to punish Luffy for his apparent rudeness and lack of true friendship, but Yamato believes they are overreacting. They eventually reach Tokage Harbor, where the Straw Hats, Heart Pirates, and Kid Pirates prepare to set sail while Momonosuke transforms back into his human form and knocks Luffy to the ground, with Yamato doing the same, if only to make out with him said goodbye Kin’emon tells Luffy that him leaving without saying anything upset the Shogun, but Luffy simply says that it shouldn’t matter if they’re talking right now.

Momonosuke then tells Luffy that he wants him to stay in Wano while breaking down in tears, explaining that he’s afraid of what the future holds without him since he helped him so much. However, Luffy throws a flag at him that Usopp painted the straw hat symbol on. Luffy reveals that they’ve been waiting for him the whole time to give it to him, and even though he looks like a man, he knows he’s still a child, but most of all, he sees him as a little brother. Luffy tells Momonosuke to look at the flag when it’s hard to remember and to hang it somewhere in Wano to intimidate anyone who threatens his home. Momonosuke tearfully asks if that means he’s a member of their crew, and Luffy confirms, adding that if he, Kin’emon, and Yamato decide to become pirates, he’ll welcome them aboard. The Thousand Sunny sets sail as the Straw Hats cheer Momonosuke on. Momonosuke turns to Kin’emon and tells him that one day he will surpass his father, which Kin’emon looks forward to.

Once they set sail, Nami says they should head to the main port in Hakumai so they won’t have to ride the waterfall like last time, much to Chopper and Brook’s relief. Unfortunately, Kid mocks both Luffy and Law, saying that using such a safe method is for wimps. This leads to all three crews going down the waterfall, much to the frustration of the rest of the Straw Hats.

Meanwhile, in the flower capital, the story of the raid on Onigashima is told to an audience of Wano residents. The narrator says that the strength of the three pirate captains was enough to defeat Kaido, who they called the “Dragon King” and Big Mom, who they called “O-Lin the Great Yōkai”. The narrator also says that during the battle, Hiyori was attacked by Orochi only for Denjiro to knock her out for good. He goes on to say that Onigashima fell with Kaida and freed the suffering country from their 20 year hell. Suddenly, however, Orochi used the last part of his life to tell Hiyori that the burning grudge of the Kurozumi family would curse Wan forever, but Hiyori, undeterred, approached him and told him that “Kurozumi” means “coal”; Kurozumi were born to burn. The audience then roars in approval as Hiyori and Toko appear to play the music themselves as the story ends.

In the final scene, the arc ends with Momonosuke wondering where they should put the Straw Hats’ flag as the curtain closes.
